On Wednesday, September 16, 2026 at approximately 2259 hours, Deputy J.T. GREGG with the Gordon County Sheriffs Office Uniform Patrol Division responded to [REDACTED] in reference to a fight in progress.
Upon arrival on scene, Deputy GREGG could hear a woman from inside the residence screaming. Deputy GREGG entered immediately through an open door and witnessed, CLARA GALLION, hitting and scratching and on top of victim, [VICTIM #1]. Deputy GREGG was able to get CLARA off of [VICTIM #1] and detain CLARA in the living room floor. [VICTIM #1] continued to cry in fear and pain and exited the immediate area to check on the rest of the juvenile children within the residence. Deputy GREGG assisted CLARA with standing and escorted her to the rear of his marked patrol vehicle. Deputy GREGG returned inside and began assessing the scene and speaking with [VICTIM #1] and the juvenile victims.
[VICTIM #1] stated that CLARA began fighting with juvenile [REDACTED] by hitting and scratching him on his back and arms. After fighting with juvenile [REDACTED], [VICTIM #1] stated CLARA placed her hands around juvenile [REDACTED] neck and squeezed, causing his face to briefly turn blue in color and restricting his airway. [VICTIM #1] stated during the time of the incident she was attempting to get the remaining children out of harms way. [VICTIM #1] stated after CLARA separated from attacking juvenile [REDACTED], CLARA turned and kicked 9 month old juvenile [REDACTED] in the back. During the time of the incident juvenile [REDACTED] was inside of her bedroom and was not physically harmed. [VICTIM #1] stated that during the time of the attack, CLARA was yelling that she would kill everybody inside the residence. [VICTIM #1] was in fear for her safety and for the safety of the children.
Deputy GREGG observed scratch marks and red marks on [VICTIM #1] and scratch marks and red marks on both juvenile [REDACTED] and juvenile [REDACTED] that matched [VICTIM #1] and juvenile [REDACTED] statements. Photos of the injuries were taken of all victims. EMS was advised of the incident, responded and checked on all involved.
After CLARA was cleared by EMS, Deputy GREGG transported CLARA to the Gordon County Jail where custody of CLARA was transferred to Gordon County Jail staff. CLARA was charged with Aggravated Assault (FVA), Aggravated Battery (FVA), Battery (FVA) (x3), Terroristic Threats (x4), and Cruelty to Children 1st Degree (x2). Deputy GREGG completed a Gordon County DFACS referral.
