On Saturday, November 30, 2024, at 0204 hours I was dispatched to Advent Health Gordon Hospital (1035 Red Bud Rd) in reference to a domestic report.

Upon arrival I made contact with the complainant/victim [VICTIM #1]. [VICTIM #1] stated her and her brother (Robert Dobson Jr) had both been drinking and they got in an argument in the garage at [100 BLOCK] Denali Drive. [VICTIM #1] did not disclose what they were arguing about. [VICTIM #1] stated Robert got mad at her and punched her with a closed right fist. When Robert punched her, it caused her top lip to split into and become disfigured. When Robert punched [VICTIM #1], this caused [VICTIM #1] to be knocked unconscious and fall on the ground scraping her left elbow. When [VICTIM #1] regained consciousness she screamed for her friend [WITNESS #1] who was asleep in the house. When [WITNESS #1] found [VICTIM #1] he took her to the hospital. [VICTIM #1] had to get 4 stitches in her top lip to stitch her top lip back together. (pictures of [VICTIM #1]’s injuries were uploaded to axon capture) [VICTIM #1] refused to fill out a witness statement.

I then spoke with [WITNESS #1] who stated he did not see anything happen, but he heard [VICTIM #1] yelling his name for help. [WITNESS #1] stated he then heard a car squeal tires outside and he figured that it was Robert leaving the scene. [WITNESS #1] stated he found [VICTIM #1] laying on her face in the garage bleeding with a split open lip.

I went to [100 BLOCK] Denali Drive to try to make contact with Robert. Upon arrival at [100 BLOCK] Denai Drive Robert was not there but his grandmother called Robert on the phone and gave me her phone. I spoke with Robert over the phone and advised him he needed to come back over there to talk to me. Robert agreed to come talk to me.

Upon Robert’s arrival to [100 BLOCK] Denali Drive I asked him what happened between him and [VICTIM #1] to which he advised she was drunk when he picked her up from the bar and when they got home, they began arguing in the garage. Robert stated he got tired of listening to [VICTIM #1], so he shut the door in her face. Robert advised he never touched [VICTIM #1]. I asked Robert what happened to [VICTIM #1]’s mouth and he denied ever laying a hand on her. Due to [VICTIM #1]’s testimony I advised Robert he was under arrest. He was handcuffed behind his back with proper fit and the cuffs were double locked. I searched him for anything illegal or dangerous and placed him in the rear seat of my patrol car. I transported him to the Gordon County Jail where he was turned over to jail staff without incident.

I have applied for warrants on Robert for Aggravated Battery (FVA).
