On April 3, 2026 at approximately 20:10 hrs, I, Deputy Brandon Holcomb responded nonemergency to a 911 hangup call. The address for this hangup was [REDACTED BY AGENCY] Rd. The Habersham County E911 Center advised they called the number back and made contact with a female identified as [REDACTED BY AGENCY] who stated all was OK. I continued my response.

While on [REDACTED BY AGENCY] Road in the area of [REDACTED BY AGENCY] I was advised to divert to the address of [REDACTED BY AGENCY] Rd. The dispatcher advised me that some unknown male (Anthony Gunn) had entered the residence with a firearm. I began to look for this address [REDACTED BY AGENCY] was located directly beside [REDACTED BY AGENCY] Rd.

I exited my patrol vehicle and started walking towards [REDACTED BY AGENCY] Rd. The E911 dispatcher told me that a female [REDACTED BY AGENCY] was barricaded inside of the home of [REDACTED BY AGENCY]. As I approached the front door, an individual exited this male was known to me by [REDACTED BY AGENCY]. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated his female next-door neighbor had ran into his house, telling him that her husband was chasing her with a gun.

I asked him where this male subject went. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated he was not sure but felt like he had went back home. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] pointed to the address of [REDACTED BY AGENCY]. I observed this residence having a glass sunroom. I observed a subject sitting in a recliner inside the sunroom. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated yes, that was the subject we were looking for who had a gun. While staging observing the subject, [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated his name was Anthony Gunn.

Upon the arrival of additional units myself and Sergeant Ivester proceeded to walk up on a back porch to where we could observe Anthony sitting in a recliner. A small 38 special revolver was observed, laying on the sofa adjacent to Anthony. As Anthony observed us standing at the back door, he stood, reached down and grabbed the firearm, and turned and walked away from us, holding the gun down by his hip. Anthony proceeded to walk out of our view into the residence. Other units observed Anthony walk to the far side of the residence and into what appeared to be a bedroom. They then advised us that Anthony was returning towards our location.

Other units were relatively sure Anthony was not armed at this time and had left the firearm, possibly in the bedroom. Anthony walked back into the sunroom, were he replaced his hands up in the air. Myself and Sergeant Ivester entered the residence. While Sergeant Ivester covered me I placed Anthony in handcuffs behind his back. Cuffs were checked for fit and double locked. Anthony was searched incident to arrest, revealing no contraband.

Anthony was found to be extremely intoxicated. He has watery bloodshot eyes. His breath and person emitting the odor of an alcoholic beverage. He was uneasy on his feet, swaying from side to side and back and forth. I read Anthony his Miranda warning. After reading Miranda warning, Anthony agreed to talk. Anthony stated to me that he and his wife were arguing over infidelity. Anthony believed his wife was cheating on him and wanted her to admit it. Anthony stated he retrieved the firearm to scare his wife into admitting she was cheating on him. Anthony denied ever pointing the firearm at his wife.

I walked over to interview [REDACTED BY AGENCY], who was located still at the Neighbor’s house. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] was visibly shaking. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated she was scared for her life. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated for the past few weeks that her husband Anthony had been having issues with anger and accusing her of cheating. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated Anthony had stopped taking his mental health medication’s.

[REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated that her and her children had attempted to get him some help. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated earlier in this date she had noticed that Anthony had moved a firearm and taken it with him when he left. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated this evening when he returned home, she observed his pocket to have a bulge. She stated she followed him in fearing he was going to shoot her.

[REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated Anthony sat down on the sofa where she walked over and patted his pockets. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated she was checking for the firearm. Anthony became upset at this. She stated that he got up and walked to the kitchen and retrieve the gun which he had laid on the kitchen table. He pulled a kitchen chair in front of her recliner while [REDACTED BY AGENCY] was sitting in the recliner. Anthony sat down in the chair in front of her and pointed the gun at her head.

[REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated that Anthony told her she was going to come clean or he was going to kill her. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated due to him being intoxicated the chair fell over which caused Anthony to fall. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] took this opportunity and ran outside the front of the house. Anthony gave chase and chased her around the cars. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] was able to escape to the neighbors house of [REDACTED BY AGENCY] Rd. where she was able to call 911 again.

[REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated physical abuse in their marriage started for the first four years, then turned into emotional abuse. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated that Anthony was an avid marijuana smoker. She had asked Anthony if he was sure the marijuana he was smoking was not laced with something due to his recent change in behavior. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] completed a free and voluntary witness statement. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] showed me the medication’s that Anthony was supposed to be taking. She handed me the medication bottles which were full each were labeled with the following drug names.

Gemfibrozil
Allopurinol
Atorvastain
Citalopram

[REDACTED BY AGENCY] was advised of her rights to contact Circle of Hope and the process for obtaining a temporary protection order.

[REDACTED BY AGENCY] led me to the bedroom. Laying on a dresser was the firearm I had observed Anthony holding. I retrieve this firearm. It was identified as a Smith & Wesson 38 special caliber revolver. Silver and color with a wooden handle. Serial number DYW2053. The weapon was loaded with five gold Hornady red tip bullets. These items were secured and documented on a Habersham County Sheriffs Office property form and turned over to evidence lockers.

Anthony was seatbelted into the rear seat of my patrol vehicle and transported to the Habersham County Sheriffs Office where he was turned over to detention staff without incident. The rear seat of my patrol vehicle was checked prior to, and after transporting Anthony revealing no contraband. An arrest warrant for aggravated assault FVA will be taken at a later date.
