On Friday, May 1, 2025 at approximately 1227hrs I Deputy Jonathan Marley was dispatched to a walk in at the Habersham County Sheriffs Office lobby in reference to a domestic. I responded in a code one (no emergency equipment activated) status.

Upon my arrival I met with the complainant identified as [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated she had questions about a restraining order. I asked [REDACTED BY AGENCY] what happened and she stated she got in a domestic dispute with her Godfather later identified as David White. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated that White had choked her and threatened her with a pellet rifle. I asked [REDACTED BY AGENCY] if she would start from the beginning and tell me what happened.

[REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated that she was in the process of moving out when she got in a verbal altercation with White over her dog pooping in the floor. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated she was going to get cleaning supplies from her room to clean up the feces when White stated if she didn’t clean it up that he would bust her fish tanks. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated she told White to try it.

[REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated that White charges after what she thought was a broom but ended up being a pellet rifle. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated White lifted up the pellet rifle when she grabbed it by the barrel and pushes White back. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated White falls up against the dresser then grabs her by her throat. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated that during the struggle White chokes her and pulls her shirt off. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated her mother [REDACTED] runs in yelling at her to get off White. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated that she got up and put her shirt back on.

[REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated that she picked up the pellet rifle that was covered in dog feces and began cleaning it off. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated she told White that she was going to take the pellet rifle with her to which he stated no your not. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated she told White that he could clean it himself. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated this lead to White pinning her against the wall by her neck choking her until she cant breathe.

[REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated [REDACTED] just stood there yelling while this took place. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated she dont remember how long White had her pinned against the wall. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated that when she was let go she ran to her room and called a friend identified as [REDACTED BY AGENCY] to come pick her up.

[REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated she was able to grab some belongings and had [REDACTED BY AGENCY] bring her to the sheriffs office. While speaking with [REDACTED BY AGENCY] I discovered that [REDACTED BY AGENCY] was [REDACTED BY AGENCY] years old. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated she’s lived with White for approximately 6 years and her mother jumps around from place to place or is in jail. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated that her mother told her she could move in with friends due to her not having a stable home for her.

I then asked [REDACTED BY AGENCY] to write a voluntary witness statement to which she agreed. I then explained the process of getting a restraining order or temporary protection order. I provided [REDACTED BY AGENCY] with information from Circle of Hope and advised her that they would be able to help guide her in the getting a order in place. I provided [REDACTED BY AGENCY] with a case number and advised her a report would be ready in three-five business days. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated that she did not want to press charges just wanted to be able to get the rest of her belongings.

I went over the family violence act and how to get a civil standby if needed. I explained to [REDACTED BY AGENCY] that I would be going to the residence to try and get Whites side of the story. After answering all of [REDACTED BY AGENCY] questions and photographing [REDACTED BY AGENCY] injuries (redness around the neck and under ears, scratch on left jawline and scratches on her arms) I proceeded to go out to the above listed address to make contact with White and [REDACTED]. Neither one was there upon my arrival.

Due to the physical evidence and testimony from [REDACTED BY AGENCY] I applied for and was granted the following warrants by Honorable Judge Amy Thomas.
