On 07/12/2025 at around 2150 hrs, I was parked at San Marco’s running traffic. I heard a vehicle hit something and as I looked around to figuer out what had happened, a white male walked up to my patrol car and confirmed that a grey suv had hit the RV that is parked by the building. I activated my lights and caught up to the vehicle to attempt to stop it by Dallas Mill Rd, but the vehicle would not stop. I then activate my siren but the driver kept driving north on Hwy 27 until finally coming to a stop on Hwy 27 and Archie Ln on Troup County limits.

I approached the vehicle and explained to the driver, later identified as Bernenice Vallator Lopez, the reason for her stop. She explained that she heard something but did not get off to look because she did not see anything around her. I proceeded to ask her for her drivers license and she explained that she did not have one. I then asked her to turn off her vehicle and step out because she was now under arrest for the hit and run and driving without a license. She got upset and state that she did not do anything wrong due to her not knowing that she hit the vehicle and asked if she can just head home.

I repeated myself and asked her to step out of the vehicle or I will have to remover, she then complied. Ofc. King arrived to the scene to assist. I explained the situation and he proceeded to assist by searching the vehicle while I placed Ms. Lopez in the back of my patrol car. I cuffed Ms. Lopez in the front with two finger spaced between the cuff and her wrist due to her being non combative. I checked the back of my patrol car with no contraband found and seat belted her in. Ofc. Aquino arrived on scene and was updated with the situation, he assisted by going to San Marco’s to get pictures and attempt to locate the owner of the RV.

I proceeded to take Ms. Lopez to the Harris County Jail. Upon our arrival I issued her two stations, one for the hit and run as well as one for driving without a drivers license. I explained to Ms. Lopez that it is a mandated court that she will need to attend. She was then transferred to Harris County Jail custody. I searched the back of my vehicle with no contraband found.
