American Philly & Wings in Warner Robins receives a 60% on their recent health inspection

American Philly & Wings, located at 819 Russell Pkwy in Warner Robins, received a score of 60 points out of a possible 100 points during their 10/31/2024 inspection by the Georgia Department of Public Health.

Inspector Notes: Observed the person in charge who is the certified food safety manager not performing their duties at it relates to food safety: Proper Sanitizing, proper holding temperatures of time/temperature control for safety foods, and improper storage of raw and ready to eats foods. Have staff take an approved food handler course.

Inspector Notes: Observed no hot water at the hand washing sink near the fryers. A handwashing sink shall be equipped to provide tempered water at a temperature of at least 100ºF (38ºC) through a mixing valve or combination faucet. Have the hot water serviced at the hand washing sink.

Inspector Notes: Observed raw meats stored above tzatiziki sauce inside the reach in cooler, also observed raw shrimp over ready to eat sauces and raw hamburger stored directly on sliced cheeses inside the walk in cooler. Food shall be protected from cross contamination by separating raw animal foods during storage, preparation, holding, and display from: ready to eat foods. Person in charge relocated foods to correct location.

Inspector Notes: Observed employee wash and rinse food containers.Utensils and food-contact surfaces of equipment shall be sanitized before use after cleaning. Employee re-washed, rinsed and sanitized the utensils.

Inspector Notes: Observed two containers of cut cabbage and carrots near the grill area with a temperature of 72F. Per employee the food items were placed there around 10:00 a.m.. Except during preparation, cooking, or cooling, or when time is used as the public health control, time/temperature control for safety food shall be maintained at 41°F or below. Food discarded. Employee setup an ice bath for new batch.

Inspector Notes: Observed bulk container of cooked rice with a prep date of October 21, 2024 inside the reach in cooler. Refrigerated, ready-to-eat, time/temperature control for safety food prepared and held in a food establishment for more than 24 hours shall be clearly marked to indicate the date or day by which the food shall be consumed on the premises, sold, or discarded, when held at a temperature of 41°F or below for a maximum of 7 days. The day of preparation shall be counted as Day 1. Food discarded.

Additional remarks:
Follow-up inspection will be conducted in 1-3 business days. Facility to temporarily close due to two consecutive unsatisfactory routine inspections.
