On 5-15-2026 at approximately 2025 hours, I Officer Womack was dispatched to [SINGLE DIGIT BLOCK] Brannan Street, which resides inside the city limits of McDonough, GA. This call was in reference to a dispute occurring at the location.
While en route to the address of the call, I was notified by dispatch at 2004 hours that a female subject later identified as Dakesha Jackson [REDACTED BY AGENCY] ran and got into a vehicle and locked the door. Upon my arrival, family members on scene advised they were attempting to take Ms. Jackson to the hospital due to a mental episode when she began running from them. They followed up by advising that she had entered a Blue Chevrolet SUV towards the back of the property, and locked herself in.
When I asked the family who the vehicle belonged to, they advised they were not sure. They did advise it did not belong to her. I asked for a description of the vehicle she was alleged to be in to ensure the vehicle descriptions matched between dispatch and witnesses. I then re entered my patrol car and began driving towards the back of the property. I observed a Blue Chevrolet SUV matching the given description. Around the vehicle were other witnesses standing by who were family/ friends of Ms. Jackson.
Witnesses advised Ms. Jackson locked herself in the vehicle and would not get out. I exited my patrol car and approached the drivers side rear window. Inside of the Blue Chevrolet SUV was Ms. Jackson, who committed the offense of Criminal Trespass by using the property of another without consent of that person. Ms. Jackson did not open the door at first when I asked her too. Next, I walked to the passenger rear window on the opposite side of the vehicle. After asking her to step out again, she finally did.
At this time I placed her in handcuffs, behind her back, double locked and checked them for fit. I then escorted her to the rear of my patrol car where I conducted a search of her person for weapons and other contraband. After informing Ms. Jackson she was under arrest, I placed her in the back of my patrol car. Next I transported Ms. Jackson to the Henry County Jail. Ms. Jackson was released to the Henry County Jail on a copy of citation without incident. A back seat check was logged through dispatch.
