[NARRATIVE #1 on July 02, 2026]

On 07-02-2026 at approximately 1530 hours I, Officer J. Keith (2143) was dispatched to 135 Willow Lane. This location is within the city limits of McDonough Henry County GA.

Upon arrival, contact was made with Walmart Loss Prevention Associate [WITNESS #1] (DOB:[REDACTED BY AGENCY]). Mr. [WITNESS #1] advised that he had previously instructed a Black male to leave the store and that the male had returned to the property. He described the subject as a Black male wearing a blue shirt, black pants, and having a low afro haircut.

A short time later, I, Officer J. Keith (2143), made contact with the suspect, identified as Deon Devane Mattocks (DOB:[REDACTED BY AGENCY]). Mr. Mattocks was walking out of Walmart into the parking lot when I detained him and placed him in handcuffs behind his back. The handcuffs were double-locked and checked for proper fit. I advised Mr. Mattocks that he was being detained due to having previously been criminally trespassed from Walmart (see McDonough Incident Supplement #2026-00017134).

I escorted Mr. Mattocks to Walmart’s Loss Prevention office, where he was searched incident to arrest. I then contacted Henry County Dispatch to confirm the prior criminal trespass warning. Dispatch confirmed that Mr. Mattocks had previously been criminally trespassed from the property on 07/01/2026. Based on this confirmation, I advised Mr. Mattocks that he was under arrest for Criminal Trespass.

Mr. Mattocks was escorted to and secured in the rear seat of McDonough Police Department marked Patrol Unit #44, with the in-car dash camera recording the incident. He was transported to the Henry County Jail and released into the custody of jail staff with a copy of his charge.

Body-worn camera (BWC) footage was utilized during this incident, and a statement was obtained. This case is cleared by arrest.
