On May 9, 2026 I was dispatched to [REDACTED] in reference to a domestic. Responding officers were advised that a gun involved. Eddie Douglas was arrested in this family violence incident.

[NARRATIVE #2 on May 09, 2026]
While en route, dispatch advised that the caller reported a firearm was involved. Upon arrival, I observed an adult male smoking a cigarette and a younger male crying. I asked both males what had occurred, and both stated it was “just a family argument.” I also asked both males about a possible firearm, and both denied any firearm involvement.
As I approached the front door of the residence, I made contact with the complainant, [WITNESS #1]. [WITNESS #1] stated that the male outside, identified as Eddie Douglas, had possessed a firearm that appeared to be a rifle. I detained Eddie Douglas and advised him that the detention was temporary pending further investigation.
Eddie’s wife, [VICTIM #1], also came outside and stated that she was the homeowner. [VICTIM #1] stated Eddie had recently been released from jail and came home accusing her of cheating on him. [VICTIM #1] stated that the argument became heated, and Eddie went outside and punched a window, causing it to shatter. [VICTIM #1] denied seeing the firearm herself but stated that her daughter [REDACTED BY AGENCY], and roommate, [WITNESS #1], both observed the firearm. [VICTIM #1] further stated she heard Eddie make several threats about killing her and everyone else in the residence because of the alleged cheating.
I read Eddie Douglas his Miranda rights. Eddie initially denied the allegations; however, he admitted that he broke the window out of anger. Eddie denied possessing a firearm and stated that no gun was involved because he was not supposed to possess one.
After several minutes of searching, a Palmetto State Armory Rifle, serial number SCD933758, was located in bushes in the front yard. The firearm matched the description provided by witnesses. I then advised Eddie Douglas that he was under arrest.
Due to Eddie Douglas’s prior arrests and his verbal admission that he was not supposed to possess a firearm, his criminal history was checked. Further investigation revealed that Eddie Douglas had been sentenced on August 9, 2023, under Georgia’s First Offender Act for a felony offense.
Based on witness statements and the close proximity of the firearm to Eddie Douglas, he was charged with possession of the firearm. The firearm was photographed before recovery by Officer Flewellen. The image was uploaded to Axon.
[VICTIM #1] and [WITNESS #1] both agreed to complete witness statement forms. The other two victims were identified as juvenile [REDACTED BY AGENCY] and [REDACTED BY AGENCY].
Eddie Douglas was charged with Criminal Trespass (Damage to Property), two counts of Cruelty to Children, four counts of Terroristic Threats and Acts, and Receipt/Possession/Transfer of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon.
