On April 29, 2026 I was dispatched to [100 BLOCK] Brentwood Lane in reference to a disturbance with neighbors.
Upon arrival, I observed a male later identified as Ray Patterson on the roof of the residence. I asked Patterson why he was on the roof, and he stated that his $430,000 check had been left there. Patterson was asked to come down, and he complied. Patterson was unable to be still and was flailing his arms wildly.
Patterson stated that he had consumed approximately a gallon of alcohol, which led him to act out. However, his sister stated that he had never behaved like this under the influence of alcohol alone. Patterson further stated that he last used methamphetamine two weeks prior.
I spoke with the complainant, [VICTIM #1], who stated that Patterson had been observed on her doorbell camera earlier that morning acting unusually. [VICTIM #1] also stated that she contacted officers earlier in the day and was fearful due to Patterson’s unusual behavior. Sergeant Shumate arrived on scene and spoke to Patterson. Shumate concluded that Patterson appeared to be under the influence of a stimulant.
Patterson was told to place his hands behind his back and was informed that he was being placed under arrest for Disorderly Conduct for being under the influence of intoxicating substances and causing a disturbance. Patterson was searched, handcuffed, and the handcuffs were double-locked for proper fit.
Patterson was transported to the Henry County Jail.
