On May 28, 2026 I was dispatched to 125 Colvin Drive in reference to a fight that occured at GXO Logistics.
Upon arrival, I spoke with one of the males involved in the incident, identified as [VICTIM #1], who had a visible knot on his right eye and scratches on his neck. [VICTIM #1] stated that while he was working, another employee identified as Samuel Berry approached him and began speaking to him about what [VICTIM #1] described as “he say, she say” issues. [VICTIM #1] stated that Berry then asked him to step outside if he had a problem. [VICTIM #1] stated that he then asked Berry if he had a problem, at which point Berry swung at him. [VICTIM #1] admitted that he engaged with Berry afterward however, he stated it was in self-defense.
I reviewed surveillance footage with security employee [REDACTED] and manager [REDACTED]. [REDACTED] and [REDACTED] both stated they did not know what initially occurred and only observed the two males on the ground tussling before the fight was broken up.
From the surveillance footage, I observed Berry leave his work area and approach [VICTIM #1] to speak with him before striking [VICTIM #1] with a closed fist. [VICTIM #1] attempted to defend himself before being knocked to the ground by Berry.
I later spoke with Berry regarding the incident. Berry admitted that he confronted [VICTIM #1] however, he stated he was not looking to fight. Berry stated he asked [VICTIM #1] to stop talking about him. Berry stated that [VICTIM #1] stepped into his face, and he reacted by punching him.
I explained to Berry that, based on the video investigation and his statement, he would be placed under arrest.
Berry was charged with Disorderly Conduct.
