On 04/11/2026 at about 1214 hours, I, Officer Farmer, was dispatched to [600 BLOCK] King George Dr. in reference to a domestic. On scene I contacted Ms. [WITNESS #1] and Ms. [WITNESS #2] who both stated their sister, Jadyia Smith, and Jadyia’s’s boyfriend, Lucas Hayden, had been in a fight but were walking in the area.

I observed a Kia Forte bearing GA temp tag [REDACTED] parked across the driveway at an angle partially into the yard. There was a metal and wood shelf sitting on its side near the roadway with a piece of broken shelf several feet away. There was also the base of a table lamp in the yard.

Jadyia returned to the house a few minutes later on foot. She stated she had gotten into an argument with her boyfriend, Lucas Hayden. She also advised she was five months pregnant. Jadyia stated the argument occurred after Lucas didn’t like an outfit she wanted wear to a party that evening and she called him gay. The couple were in the front yard and Lucas took Jadyia’s phone. She got into her car and attempted to run him over. She struck the shelf in the yard knocking it over. Jadyia said she wasn’t trying to hit Lucas; she was just trying to scare him. Lucas pulled her from the car and took her phone and keys before pulling her into the house.

I observed Jadyia to have a small cut on her left wrist, scrapes on her left knee, swelling on her left cheek, a broken middle and ring finger nails. and a cut on the inside of her lip. She stated she had also been choked and kicked in the stomach. EMS was requested. Jadyia showed me where Lucas had pulled her into the house and to her bedroom. I noted her bedroom door handle to broken and a fan laying on the ground in front of the door. The bedroom was in general disarray.

Jadyia further advised that after Lucas pulled her to the bedroom he wrestled with her and a one point kicked her in the stomach and stated, “I need to kill the baby.” Jadyia struggled with Lucas and he wrapped a pair of her leggings around her neck trying to choke her. He then choked her with his arm. Jadyia felt she couldn’t breath and kicked at Lucas until he let go. Her sister eventually came in the room and the incident subsided before she and Lucas both walked east into the neighborhood.

I spoke to [WITNESS #1] who stated she had been asleep in her bedroom at the other end of the house when she was awoke by the fighting and hearing a physical struggle. She overheard Jadyia state. “I can’t breathe.” She entered Jadyia’s bedroom to see Lucas on his back in the bed with his arm around Jadyia’s neck as she lay on top of him facing away. [WITNESS #1] demonstrated a braced position as if conducting a rear naked type choke hold. She saw Lucas was actively choking Jadyia and she broke up the fight. Jadyia and Lucas then left the residence on foot.

I spoke to [WITNESS #2] who stated Lucas had attempted to leave the residence with his shirt and backpack. The couple had argued about Lucas wearing his new shirt to the party. Jadyia tried to hit Lucas with her car five times as he was trying to walk away. [WITNESS #2] saw Jadyia run over the shelves in the front yard while trying to hit Lucas. Lucas took Jadyia’s phone and keys, went inside, and locked the front screen door to keep Jadyia out.

Lucas eventually unlocked the door. The couple fought inside the kitchen area and Lucas drug Jadiya into her bedroom. [WITNESS #2] overheard Jadiya say, “Get off me, I can’t breath, please get off me.” Jadyia then left the residence with her keys and phone. [WITNESS #2] further stated Lucas did not take Jadyia’s keys first, but that he had only been trying to get the shirt he recently bought back.

I was unable to contact Lucas by phone. I spoke to a resident at [100 BLOCK] Austin Ave Apt [REDACTED] who identified himself as Lucas’s older brother and confirmed Lucas was living there but not home. On 4/12/2026, I attempted contact a second time at Apt [REDACTED] with negative results.

I will be seeking a criminal arrest warrant for Ms. Jadyia Smith for Aggravated Assault. I will be seeking criminal arrest warrants for Mr. Lucas Hayden for kidnapping and aggravated assault, reference case number 2026-03783. Photos of Jadyia’s injuries and the scene were uploaded to RMS.
