On 06 May 2026 at approximately 0540HRS I, Ofc. Ford, was dispatched to [1100 BLOCK] Calhoun Drive in reference to an assault. Prior to my arrival Central Dispatch advised that the initial call was for a medical emergency, however, when WRFD and EMS arrived on scene they encountered a crime scene. Ofc. A. Strom arrived on scene prior to my arrival and began interviewing the victim. While she was conducting her interview I began interviewing WRFD responders, EMS, and neighbors.

Ofc. Strom advised that the victim, Mrs. [VICTIM #1], knew the offender only as “Blue” and was possibly intoxicated in a severe state of panic from the assault. Neighbors were able to provide a description of Blue, later identified as Reginald Dennis, and provided a Facebook photo. The Facebook Profile showed [REDACTED BY AGENCY] and matched the photo for Mr. [REDACTED] in RMS.

I then took photos of the residence, showing blood stains in several rooms, along with a smashed beer bottle. The injuries sustained by Mrs. [VICTIM #1] are consistent with blunt-force trauma associated with an impact from a beer bottle. A photo showing the injuries to Mrs. [VICTIM #1]’ face were also taken. Due to her in-progress treatment and mental state inside the ambulance additional photos and search for other injuries was not possible.

At approximately 1600HRS I met with the Honorable Judge Angela Sammons and signed warrants on Mr. Dennis in reference to this case.
