On the above date and time, I, Deputy Carroll, was notified by administration about a weapon being found in a student’s vehicle at Veterans High School. (340 Piney Grove Rd.)

I made contact with Dr. [WITNESS #1] (assistant principal), Mr. [REDACTED] (assistant principal), and Sultan Alhmad (student) in the student parking lot at Veterans High School near Sultan’s vehicle. Dr. [WITNESS #1] informed me that he located a box cutter in the passenger front door of Sultan’s vehicle. Sultan advised he does window tinting of vehicles; that was the reason the box cutter was in his vehicle.

I advised Sultan that the box cutter was considered a weapon. I advised Sultan to stand up and place his hands behind his back. Sultan was handcuffed to the rear; the handcuffs were fit-checked and double locked. Sultan was searched with negative findings.

LT. Weldon transported and turned Sultan over to the HCDC.

Sultan was charged with carrying weapons within school safety zones, at school functions, or on a bus or other transportation furnished by a school.
