A domestic dispute was reported at the residence.

On scene investigation revealed a physical altercation occurred between [VICTIM #1] and Amanda Pressley. It was revealed that both women were intoxicated. Pressley arrived at the residence unannounced. [VICTIM #1] allowed her to stay because she was intoxicated an had no where else to go.

While there Pressley made a comment about someone needing to put money on her abusive ex-husband’s account while he was in prison. When [VICTIM #1] stated she told Pressley to leave and she refused. As things escalated, they began to scuffle, as a result [VICTIM #1] was choked by Pressley. They continued to scuffle and she was able to retreat to her bed room. A short time later [VICTIM #1] was able call 911 and request help.

Pressley would later deny assaulting [VICTIM #1] and claimed that [VICTIM #1] assaulted her. When asked about choking [VICTIM #1], she stated that she did not and would not because [VICTIM #1]’s husband did the same. She claimed that she was allowed to come in, was given a shot, and so she could not leave.

Both women had injuries consistent with a physical altercation. However, [VICTIM #1] had injuries that were consistent with being choked. When asked about being choked she stated that she did not lose consciousness, but did feel like she could not breathe. When asked about what was said while being choked, [VICTIM #1] stated Pressley said “I’ll kill you b*tch.”

While on scene I discovered a 9 year-old male in a bedroom. He stated that he was staying with [VICTIM #1], and was awakened by the altercation. He advised that he heard yelling, screaming, and banging. When asked about the yelling, he stated that he heard a lot of cursing. I asked what he heard he stated “I’ll kill you b”. I asked who said it and he advised it was Pressley. I asked him where his mother was and he stated that she was staying on Sand Creek Trail, but would come pick him up in the mornings for school.

I placed Pressley under arrest and later transported her to the Jones Co. Jail. There she was turned over to jail staff for processing without incident. At the jail it was discovered that Pressley license was a DUI permit.

Based on the results of the investigation Pressley was charged with Aggravated Assault, Terroristic Threats and Acts, and Violation of Driving on Limited Permit.

Photographs of the injuries and the scene were taken and later uploaded to the server.
