On Wednesday May 27,2026 I deputy Morgan was dispatched to the address of [1400 BLOCK] Hwy 18e in reference to a domestic with firearms involved.

Complainant advised dispatch that the victim told them that the aggressor who was later identified as Gary Plummer was going to shoot her then himself.

Upon my arrival on I noticed to sets of legs appear back behind a camper as I turned my car headlight off to prevent silhouetteing myself as I approached the camper. As I approached the camper I drew my service my weapon and advised the two individuals to come out and show me their hands. The first individual lateridentified as [VICTIM #1] exiting from the camper area and went to my patrol car in a visibly distraught state. While the offender exited out from the behind the camper in a very defensive and non compliant way.

When the subject advanced towards me and I could see that he did not have a weapon in his hand I holstered my service weapon and drew my county issued taser, and i advised the subject to lay on the ground and place his hand behind his back until I could verify he didn’t have any weapons on him at this point he became very irate stating FU and get off of his property. He then asked what my reason for being there was, and that I didn’t have a reason to be there. I stated I was there investigating a possible domestic involving firearms at this point he took a bladed stance and raised his right arm based off of his demeanor and his irate actions are deployed my county issued taser twice in an effort to gain compliance and get the subject detained.

The subject then fell to the ground and was able to get the probes disconnected from his body before I could place them in custody. He jumped back up and came in my direction in an aggressive state continuing the state, FU and get off of his property he hasn’t done anything. It was at this point I resorted back to my service weapon and advised him if he stepped closer, I would shoot him. It was at this time he stated well shoot me then it’s all on camera and started walking away from me. I kept the individual insight trying to de-escalate the situation as best possible while I waited for back up to arrive. The next arriving officer was Lt Walker. When Lt Walker exited his patrol vehicle and the subject noticed who it was, he went straight to him in a less aggressive manner, and stated that I had violated his rights and I had no reason to be there. The individual was tried to be placed in cuffs as he snatched away from Lt Walker and attempted to shove him in a deflecting manner.

It was at this time I stepped towards the individual trying to place gain compliance and detain him He then took a bladed fighting stance with closed fist pulled up in his face, stating if I stepped any closer that that he would hit me it was at this time Lt Walker stepped in between myself and the subject and tried to deescalate the situation even more. Lt Walker was able to get the subject to comply and placed in double locked handcuffs in the front when I noticed the situation was under control. I attempted to go find the Victim.

I located the victim to the side of my Marked patrol vehicle in front yard of the residence. She was still very distraught, and I could see physical markings on her face from where she was battered. After a brief conversation and trying to get her to calm down, she kept stating that she’s just glad that I am OK and then I didn’t let him get back in the camper. She then stated that she had been struck in the face was unsure what he had struck her with and then once again she was just glad we were OK and then backup. Got there when it did. After that brief conversation, I was able to get her first name and she was identified as [VICTIM #1] of Albany. [VICTIM #1] stated that Gary Plummer had stated he was going to shoot her and then shoot himself.

While speaking with [VICTIM #1], I noticed several markings and dark bruises and swelling on her face and temple area along with her left ear, which appeared to be extremely swollen due to a blow received in the side of the head.

While the interview with [VICTIM #1] was being conducted Lt Walker was speaking with the main aggressor of Gary Plummer.

The victims sister [WITNESS #1] was able to provide audio recording of [REDACTED], who is on the phone with [VICTIM #1] during the whole situation and in that audio recording he stated that he Gary tell [VICTIM #1] if she went down the steps of the camper he would shoot her and then shoot himself.

Lt Walker transported Gary Plummer to the Jones County enter, enter him over to jail staff without further incident.

I remained on scene, waiting for EMS to arrive to look over [VICTIM #1] due to the visible head injuries received in the situation.

After EMS was refused by [VICTIM #1], [VICTIM #1] obtained her belongings along with Gary’s keys who she gave to me and as we were preparing to leave the residence, Gary’s brother [REDACTED] arrived on scene, and after a brief conversation, he stated that he wanted them trespassed. I advised both parties, [VICTIM #1] and [WITNESS #1] that they were criminal trespass from the property and not to come back.

Warrants for the following are being obtained.

Battery family violence
False imprisonment
Terroristic threats, and acts
Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon(agg assault conv.)
Misdemeanor obstruction
Poss of firearm or knife during commission of a felony
