On May 25, 2026 I responded to [100 BLOCK] Kimberly Dr. in reference to a RapidSOS ping in the area. Upon arrival, I did not hear anything coming from the residence, and everything appeared quiet. Calls of this nature are common due to accidental 911 calls throughout the day and night; therefore, I returned to service.
At approximately 0615 hours, **VICTIM** called 911 and reported that Michael Youngblood had been terrorizing her throughout the night and that she was hiding in the woods. We were also informed that a weapon was involved.
Units responded to the residence, and dispatch coached **VICTIM** out of the woods behind the home. As the victim was being loaded into the ambulance, I observed swelling and injuries to her forehead and underneath her eye. According to **VICTIM**, Michael had slammed her head into a wall prior to our arrival and had threatened her with a firearm.
The victim stated that she hid in the woods all night and later stated that she had also hidden inside a neighbor’s truck. **VICTIM** further advised that Michael attempted to set the bed on fire. I asked why she did not call 911 earlier, and she stated that she did not have her phone.
The victim’s statement was somewhat confusing due to her emotional state; therefore, I decided to follow up with her later when she was calmer and able to provide a more accurate account of the events.
**VICTIM** continued to state that Michael was still on scene. I noticed Michael’s white bus when I initially came to the location around midnight; however, the bus was parked down the hill near the wood line at that time. Upon our return, the bus was parked in the driveway. I also observed the victim’s vehicle in the driveway, which was heavily covered in mud and had front-end damage.
Units cleared the residence to ensure Michael was no longer inside. While inside the residence, officers observed signs of a struggle and that the home had been ransacked. There were holes in the walls, an AR15 .22 caliber rifle on the upstairs bedroom floor, and an empty pistol holster lying in the middle of the floor. A burned pillow and a ceiling fan were also located in the yard.
I contacted Michael by phone, and he stated that he had left approximately one hour prior to our arrival with his ex-wife. I contacted his his ex wife to verify this statement; however, she advised that Michael was actually hiding in the woods from law enforcement and she did not pick Michael up.
Officers were unable to locate Michael, and he appeared to be actively avoiding contact with law enforcement. Based on the totality of the circumstances and the injuries sustained by the victim, I obtained a warrant for Simple Battery (Family Violence). Later, I learned that the victim had been admitted to the Intensive Care Unit as a result of injuries sustained during the attack. Due to the severity of the injuries, I obtained an additional warrant for Aggravated Battery (Family Violence).
Michael was not located; however, the warrants were entered into GCIC/NCIC. Photographs were taken documenting the victim’s injuries.
On May 26, 2026 Michael Youngblood was located and taken into custody.
