On 05-27-2026 I Deputy Schubert was dispatched to [100 BLOCK] Amie Ct for a damage to property call. Caller stated she has video of a silver suv striking two mailboxes and her garbage can.
Upon arrival I noted mailboxes [100 BLOCK], [100 BLOCK] Amie Ct and a large trash can was ran over and the debris was all over the roadway including silver pieces of a vehicles side mirror.
At approximately 1420 Traci Lynn Wiggins arrived driving a silver Acura and she stated that she hit the mailboxes and trash can because she was swerving to “avoid a dog, or a cat, or a dog chasing a cat.” Ms Wiggins stated she left because she did not know anyone was home and she was going to get her son to clean up the mess.
I noted that she had a glazed look in her eyes that appeared bloodshot and the specifics about the animals kept changing and Ms Wiggins was acting drowsy. Deputy Coley asked Ms Wiggins if shes had any alcoholic beverages or is on any medication and Ms Wiggins denied all. Deputy Coley asked Ms Wiggins if she would consent to standardized sobriety testing.
Ms Wiggins consented to a standardized field sobriety test which I Deputy Schubert administered. Ms Wiggins had horizontal gaze nystagmus in her eyes and lacked smooth pursuit. During the horizontal gaze nystagmus test Ms Wiggins head kept following my finger even after I corrected this action. Ms Wiggins began the walk and turn before I instructed her to do so. While Ms Wiggins performed the walk and turn she had issues walking the straight line and placing her feet in the proper limits of heel to toe. She executed the turn incorrectly. During the single leg raise test Ms Wiggins she had to put her foot down and change feet. Ms Wiggins was also swaying during the test.
Deputy Coley asked Ms Wiggins if she would consent to a blood draw/ test and she consented.
I Deputy Schubert placed Ms Wiggins under arrest and took her in for blood draw and booking.
