On October 14, 2026 I deputy Lester met with Animal Control officers [REDACTED] (1211) and [REDACTED] (1213) in reference to an animal cruelty case they had been working at [400 BLOCK] Hwy 41 South. Barnesville, Georgia.
After meeting with 1211 and 1213 they informed me that they had been dealing with a Ms. Ghareka Monya Allen (B/F DOB: [REDACTED]) regarding Ms. Allen’s black in color pit mix condition. 1211 informed me that she went out to the residence of Ms. Allen earlier this morning in attempt to make contact and left a door hanger due to not being able to make contact with Ms. Allen, during this time 1211 took pictures of the dog in question.
After I looked at the pictures that 1211 took and after talking to 1213 I could clearly see that the dog was well unnourished and had appeared to not have eaten in some time. I could see the dogs rib cage and back bone in the picture and I could also see that in the picture the dogs food and water bowl were empty.
Based on the evidence that was shown to me via pictures taken on 10/14/2026 I took warrants out for the arrest of Ms. Allen for Animal Cruelty (O.C.G.A 16- 12-4-(b). Myself, Sergant Connor (125), 1211 and 1213 went back to the property to serve the warrant for Ms. Allen and for Animal Control to take custody of the dog.
Ms. Allen was placed in custody with my hinged hand cuffs that were double locked and Ms. Allen was placed in the back of Sgt. Connor’s marked patrol unit and transported to the Lamar County Detention Center and handed over to jail staff for processing. I stayed on scene until the sister of Ms. Allen ([REDACTED] (B/F DOB: [REDACTED]) arrived to take custody of Ms. Allen’s two juvenile children.
