On Saturday, March 8, 2025 at approximately 0650, I, Deputy Kartez Robinson was dispatched to 62 West Main Street; Jet Food Store in Lanier County in reference to the Police Department requesting a Deputy.

I arrived and observed [VICTIM #1] holding her small child standing with Officer Terry Grant and Officer Kevin Christian with the Lakeland Police Department. I began speaking with Mrs. [VICTIM #1] who stated not long ago her and her spouse, Kendrick Flintroyal got into a fight at her residence. Mrs. [VICTIM #1] stated she was walking here when she was picked up by someone and dropped off. Mrs. [VICTIM #1] stated Mr. Flintroyal had been drinking since last night when law enforcement was called due to him riding his four-wheeler.

Mrs. [VICTIM #1] stated Mr. Flintroyal’s four-wheeler had broken down and she helped him push it back to their residence. Mrs. [VICTIM #1] stated Mr. Flintroyal started blaming her for stuff she did not do. Mrs. [VICTIM #1] stated that Mr. Flintroyal became angry and began punching her in the face and also hit her in the back of the head with a hammer. I did not observe anything on the back of Mrs. [VICTIM #1]’s head that would have indicated she was hit by a hammer. Mrs. [VICTIM #1] stated this incident took place in the living room.

Mrs. [VICTIM #1] stated at this time her six month and one year old children were sleeping. Mrs. [VICTIM #1] stated that her one year old son had come to the living room and got in the way while she was being hit by Mr. Flintroyal. Mrs. [VICTIM #1] stated her son was hit and sustained a knot on his forehead. I did observe a knot on the child’s forehead. Mrs. [VICTIM #1] showed me a red scratch under the child’s cheek which she stated he also received during the fight.

I observed Mrs. [VICTIM #1]’s right cheek under her right eye to be swollen and red. I noticed that Mrs. [VICTIM #1] had some kind of bright red hair dye in her hair. I observed a red dried fluid on the back of Mrs. [VICTIM #1]’s neck which appeared to be the hair dye from her hair. Mrs. [VICTIM #1] stated that she wanted to go back to the residence to get her other son.

I asked Mrs. [VICTIM #1] did she need to be checked by medical; Mrs. [VICTIM #1] stated that she wanted to get her son first before she seeks medical attention. Deputy Charlie Register arrived on scene and he advised that he would go to her residence and try to make contact with Kendrick Flintroyal. This residence is [REDACTED BY AGENCY] in Lanier County. Shortly after Deputy Register returned to scene and advised he did not make contact with Mr. Flintroyal. Mrs. [VICTIM #1] stated that she wanted to take her one-year-old son to her aunt’s house which she stated was here in Lanier County.

I transported Mrs. [VICTIM #1] and her son to [REDACTED BY AGENCY] in Lanier County. Mrs. [VICTIM #1] left her son with her aunt at the residence. Mrs. [VICTIM #1] requested that she be taken back to her residence to get her six-month-old son. I arrived at [REDACTED BY AGENCY] in Lanier County. Deputy Register was on scene we went up to the carport and we were able to get Mr. Flintroyal to the door. Mrs. [VICTIM #1] had gotten her six moth old son from Mr. Flintroyal. I did not observe the child to be in any distress.

I began speaking with Mr. Flintroyal about the allegations that were against him. Mr. Flintroyal stated that last night at about two in the morning his cousin was at the residence and he had gotten into an argument with his cousin. Mr. Flintroyal stated that Mrs. [VICTIM #1] had gotten involved as well. Mr. Flintroyal stated that after Mrs. [VICTIM #1] left from the residence. Mr. Flintroyal stated that he did not hit Mrs. [VICTIM #1] nor did he hit her with a hammer.

Mr. Flintroyal stated that the knot and the scratch on his son were there since yesterday when he was picked up from Oma’s Day Care off of Highway 84. I did not observe any wounds on Mr. Flintroyal’s hands, face, or arms.
