On 4/25/2026 I, Lieutenant Edge, responded to [REDACTED] in reference to a dispute.

When I arrived on scene, I was met in the driveway by [VICTIM #1], who I observed to have blood stains on her lips and teeth.

[VICTIM #1] stated that her boyfriend, Christopher Wood, went through her phone and thinks that he caught her cheating. [VICTIM #1] stated that Wood became angry and started getting physical with her. [VICTIM #1] further stated into the dispute, Wood broke her cell phone and grabbed her and threw her into the master bath tub. [VICTIM #1] stated that after doing so, Wood went outside with a brown Marlin 30×30 rifle and fired off one shot while making claims to harm himself.

[VICTIM #1] and Wood’s daughter, [REDACTED BY AGENCY] advised that she seen her dad kick her mom and also heard gun shots last night. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] further stated that she could hear her mother screaming for help earlier this morning so she then called her brother and sister, who called 911.

[VICTIM #1] did show me minor cuts on both of her hands as well as the bath tub shower curtain that appeared to have been pushed. I did find one spent shell casing outside under the bottom door step that fit a 30×30.

Wood then met with me at the LCSO.

Wood advised that he caught [VICTIM #1], his girlfriend cheating on him so it enraged him. Wood stated that [VICTIM #1] tried calling the man she was cheating with so he broke her phone into multiple pieces. Wood advised that [VICTIM #1] took his hear medicine and that it made [VICTIM #1] unsteady on her feet and that she fell off of the toilet and hit her head.

Wood was placed under arrest for Simple Battery (FV), and Cruelty to Children (3rd)

The firearm that Wood used to fire off a round was collected and stored into evidence for safe keeping.
