On 7/13/2022 at around 0600 hours, I was patrolling in the area of GA 196 East when I saw a Blue Honda Civic (GA Tag [REDACTED]) driving with a headlight out. I conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and it stopped on GA 196 East near Luke Rd/Roger’s Pasture Rd.

Once the vehicle was stopped, I made contact with the driver (Alton Baker). I advised Mr Baker the reason for the stop and asked him for his drivers license. Mr Baker advised me he did not have a valid license and provided me his name and date of birth. I returned to my patrol vehicle to check his license status through NCIC/GCIC. Mr Baker’s license came back revoked since 2018 for multiple offenses including driving while license revoked.

I returned back to Mr Baker and asked him to contact the registered owner of the vehicle to come retrieve it. Mr Baker called Ms [REDACTED] (registered owner) and she stated she was en-route for the vehicle. Mr Baker was then placed under arrest for driving while license revoked. He was handcuffed which were checked for fit and double locked. He was then escorted to my patrol vehicle and searched incident to arrest with nothing found.

Mr Baker was transported to the jail and issued two citations (Driving while revoked 1st offense and Headlights required). He was then left in the custody of the jail to bond out. The back seat of my patrol vehicle was searched before and after transport with nothing found.
