On 09/29/2020 at 2032 hours, I responded to [300 BLOCK] Brantley Dr lot [REDACTED] in reference to a medical emergency.

Upon arrival, I made contact with Chanin Edwards who stated she was laying down in her room when her son [REDACTED BY AGENCY] Edwards entered her room. She allowed [REDACTED BY AGENCY] to get in bed with her so she could put him to sleep. She stated while putting him to sleep, she fell asleep in the process with [REDACTED BY AGENCY].

Ms Edwards stated when she woke up she found [REDACTED BY AGENCY] unresponsive and called the police. I asked Ms Edwards if there was anything [REDACTED BY AGENCY] could have gotten into to cause him to be unresponsive and she stated she was not sure but she believed [REDACTED BY AGENCY] had possibly ate some of her edibles.

She stated she observed her edibles scattered over the floor but she was not sure if [REDACTED BY AGENCY] had gotten into them.

Ms Edwards provided the container with the edibles and when asked where she purchased it from she was vague with her answer by stating she got them from around the area, but would not state whether she got them from the store or from someone. She recanted her statement and said she may have purchased them online but did not provide anymore information.

The 400mg THC toasty crunch edibles were seized and logged in the drug locker #1. The on call narcotics officer was notified of the situation. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] was taken to memorial hospital by ems for further treatment.

My BWC was activated and recording during this incident.
