On 9-5-26, at 2151 hours, I was dispatched to [600 BLOCK] Second St. in reference to a domestic. The complainant, [REDACTED BY AGENCY], advised a drunk girl was yelling at people at this residence and attempted to hit them with her vehicle.

Upon arrival, I made contact with [REDACTED BY AGENCY] and [REDACTED BY AGENCY] (friend’s mother) in the front yard of the residence. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] explained this was her residence and [REDACTED BY AGENCY] was staying the night due to him being friends with her oldest son, [REDACTED BY AGENCY]. She stated she was asleep and woke up around 2130 hours and began making food for her children and their friends. She advised, while cooking, she heard a car horn coming from outside that never stopped, as if someone was holding down the horn. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] and [REDACTED BY AGENCY] knew it was [REDACTED BY AGENCY] (Jada Shaw) vehicle and told her this information.

[REDACTED BY AGENCY] went outside and told her to leave. She stated Ms. Shaw responded by saying she would do what she wanted. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] told her, the neighborhood is quiet and it was not the time or place to deal with issues between her and [REDACTED BY AGENCY]. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated at that point [REDACTED BY AGENCY], [REDACTED BY AGENCY] and her other son [REDACTED BY AGENCY] came outside to see why there was yelling. Ms. Shaw then began driving really slow past the house while cussing at her and eventually stated “I’ll beat your a*s” so [REDACTED BY AGENCY] replied with “Get out the car then.”.

At that point, Ms. Shaw was stopped in front of [600 BLOCK] Second St. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] was near the driver’s side tail light and was telling Ms. Shaw to just leave. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated Ms. Shaw then yelled “I’ll kill y’all” and the reverse lights illuminated. The vehicle then quickly began moving backwards, causing [REDACTED BY AGENCY] to have to jump out of the way of being hit as the vehicle reversed to the grass of [600 BLOCK] Second St making her, [REDACTED BY AGENCY], and [REDACTED BY AGENCY] to have to move backwards also. Ms. Shaw put the vehicle in drive (the reverse lights turned off) and the vehicle drove forward toward [REDACTED BY AGENCY]. He went and stood behind a tree in the yard of [600 BLOCK] Second St. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated, when this happened, everyone began yelling at Ms. Shaw to leave and [REDACTED BY AGENCY] called 911. She also advised her daughter [REDACTED BY AGENCY] and her friend [REDACTED BY AGENCY] were also outside and witnessed this occur.

While speaking with [REDACTED BY AGENCY] a blue Honda SUV drove past and everyone ([REDACTED BY AGENCY], [REDACTED BY AGENCY], and [REDACTED BY AGENCY]) advised that was Ms. Shaw. Cpl Thomas #147 was directly behind the vehicle as he arrived on scene and I advised him to stop the vehicle. By the time I was able to advise him of this, Ms. Shaw’s vehicle was near the stop sign for South Main St. Cpl Thomas activated his blue lights and siren, and Ms. Shaw drove onto South Main St. He followed her to Deal St and Parker Dr., where she finally stopped. Cpl Thomas asked her about the incident and recognized that she was possibly under the influence of alcohol. He preformed SFST’s and found an open container of alcohol inside the vehicle. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated he and Ms. Shaw were arguing earlier in the night. He advised Ms. Shaw recently had a miscarriage with his child. He stated the argument was Ms. Shaw yelling that he did not care about the baby and he responded saying he did not care about her and was hurt about the baby being miscarried. He stated this argument happened while they were on their way to [600 BLOCK] Second St, Ms. Shaw was dropping him off. He stated due to the argument, he got out of the vehicle on Second St near Florence St and walked to the residence. He advised he was at the residence for approximately twenty minutes before the sound of the car horn began blaring from outside. He advised [REDACTED BY AGENCY] told him to go get his girl, to make her stop honking, when [REDACTED BY AGENCY] went outside.

He stated after a moment, aw the two females yelling back and forth, [REDACTED BY AGENCY] was pointing toward South Main while yelling. Due to this him, [REDACTED BY AGENCY], and [REDACTED BY AGENCY] went outside as Ms. Shaw was driving very slow past the house and yelling that she would beat [REDACTED BY AGENCY] a*s. They all began telling her to leave and [REDACTED BY AGENCY] followed the car until it was in front of [600 BLOCK] Second St. That was when the reverse lights turned on and the vehicle started moving toward them and [REDACTED BY AGENCY] jumping onto the property of [600 BLOCK] Second St. the vehicle then backed up further, near the fence separating [600 BLOCK] and [600 BLOCK] before going forward toward [REDACTED] who was behind the tree on [600 BLOCK] Second St. That was when he called 911.

[REDACTED BY AGENCY] was outside while [REDACTED BY AGENCY] and [REDACTED BY AGENCY] were telling me their perspectives. He did not go into detail but stated he was standing next to his mother, near the fence of their property when the vehicle came toward them. He stated he jumped over the fence to avoid being hurt and ran toward his house.

[REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated everything [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated and advised he told Ms. Shaw to just go and deal with [REDACTED BY AGENCY] another time. That was when Ms. Shaw yelled “I’ll kill y’all.” and reversed toward him and the others. He stated he did not want to be hit by the vehicle so he went behind the tree in the neighbor’s yard.

I spoke with [REDACTED BY AGENCY] and [REDACTED BY AGENCY] who both advised they heard the honking before [REDACTED BY AGENCY] went outside. They both advised they heard yelling and the boys all went outside. They then also went outside and stood near the walkway to the front door. They then observed the vehicle back up and almost hit everybody else. They both stated they could not tell what was being said before the vehicle began backing up. They both advised once the vehicle almost hit everybody, they all returned near the front door after the vehicle left. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] called [REDACTED BY AGENCY] mother [REDACTED BY AGENCY] while next to me and she was advised on the incident, since her daughter was involved.

After Cpl Thomas completed his DUI investigation, Ms. Shaw was placed under arrest and transported to HPD to provide a breath sample. From there she was transported to Liberty County Jail by Cpl Thomas.

I did not observe any security cameras on the surrounding houses on Second St. I did observe tire marks on the dirt section of the yard on [600 BLOCK] Second St. These tire marks were consistent with a vehicle driving from he road, toward [600 BLOCK] Second St, toward the tree on [600 BLOCK] Second St, then back onto the roadway.

Warrants will be applied for in the required time frame.
