On May 29th 2025, I, Sgt Christen Adkins, was dispatched to [3600 BLOCK] Dearing Acres Rd Lot [REDACTED] in reference to solicitation.

On arrival, I met with the complainant, [WITNESS #1]. [WITNESS #1] stated that her 14-year-old daughter, [REDACTED BY AGENCY] advised her that a Tony (Anthony) Cope had been sending her lewd text messages. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] received a message on this date from the Cope subject telling her “I wanna take my tongue to u”.

Cope is an on again, off again employee of the Jewell family since March of this year. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated she had his number in the event that she could not reach her father at work. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] said that Cope has been sending her inappropriate messages, which she has deleted and ignored, for the past two months.” [REDACTED BY AGENCY] advised she had blocked Cope since the last message and deleted all past messages. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] said the phone number she had been messaging was [REDACTED]. This is the same number [REDACTED BY AGENCY] father used to communicate with Cope about work schedules.

Upon finding out this information, a family member, [WITNESS #2], confronted Cope by phone. I spoke with [WITNESS #2] (via phone) about this conversation. [WITNESS #2] said she called Cope “fu*king sick” and Cope responded apologetically, saying he was “So sorry and it wouldn’t happen again.” [WITNESS #2] said she told Cope he knew that [REDACTED BY AGENCY] was a child and he told her, “I know I did wrong” and that he was crying and “going to get some help.”

I spoke with Sgt Jared Land, who advised to take [REDACTED BY AGENCY] phone as evidence. Item was taken on property receipt #8898. A consent to search form was signed by the [WITNESS #1], the owner of the phone and phone plan.

Before leaving, [REDACTED BY AGENCY] added that Cope also “touched her butt and sides” while she was in the trash truck with him sometime in March.
