[NARRATIVE #1 on May 31, 2026]

On May 31st 2026, at approximately 10:11pm, I was dispatched to [REDACTED] in reference to a physical domestic.

Dispatch advised that the caller stated she was hit by [VICTIM #1] before losing connection with the caller. While I was still heading to the address, dispatch advised they had made contact with the caller again, and she was requesting that we cancel because she had left. Due to the nature of domestics, I continued to respond. When I turned onto Shadowmoor Dr, I saw a woman walking with a baby in her arms, and she was crying.

I stopped and learned that she was the caller (Jayla Golff). I noticed she had scratches on her face and blood on her shirt. I asked her what happened, and she said that she was arguing with her mother [VICTIM #1]. [VICTIM #1] got in her face, so Jayla punched her, and they started fighting. I asked where the blood came from, and she said that it was from her nose and that her nose ring was ripped out.

I asked Jayla where the child [REDACTED] was when all of this occurred. She told me that she was in the living room on the sofa, and the incident happened in the kitchen. I asked her if the rooms were separated by doors, and she said no. I then asked if I was on the sofa in the living room, would I be able to hear the altercation, and she told me yes. Photographs were taken of Jayla.

Jayla left with some friends and went to [REDACTED] I went to [REDACTED], where I met with [VICTIM #1] and her live-in boyfriend [WITNESS #1]. When [VICTIM #1] opened the door, I could see that her eye was swollen shut and bruised. She had already started treating it with an icepack. I asked [VICTIM #1] what had happened. She explained to me that Jayla had used her car and was supposed to be just going to get milk and come right back home. Jayla didn’t come home for another two hours.

[VICTIM #1] confronted Jayla about it, and this started the argument. Jayla started telling [VICTIM #1] to do something about it. [WITNESS #1] came downstairs and attempted to get between them to keep them from fighting. Jayla climbed over the sofa, went around [WITNESS #1], and punched [VICTIM #1] in the face. This started the fight. [VICTIM #1] told me that she never punched her, only pulled her hair. [WITNESS #1] managed to get them separated.

Jayla then grabbed a plate off the sofa and threw it at [VICTIM #1]. The plate missed her but hit the wall and broke. She then grabs a can of milk and throws it. They had already cleaned up the plate and food, but I could still see the milk. Photographs were taken of [VICTIM #1]. Due to the injuries of both, testimony from all parties, I believed Jayla was the predominant aggressor.

I went to [REDACTED] and asked Jayla to come outside. She walked with me to my patrol vehicle that was in the street. Jayla was then arrested and transported to the McDuffie County Jail, where she was turned over to jail staff. The juvenile [REDACTED] was turned over to the grandmother [REDACTED] per the mother (Jayla Golff).

On June 1st 2026, at approximately 4:30am, I met with Associate Magistrate Judge David Moore and was granted arrest warrants for Battery Family Violence and Cruelty to Children in the Third Degree.
