On 04/09/2026 at approximately 00:34 hours, I, Officer M. Goetsch (P-11), while performing duties assigned to the Uniform Patrol Division, was at Circle K when I was contacted by Sergeant Florence (Pelham 5), who advised me of a wanted subject identified as Donterius Bell [REDACTED].

While outside the store, I observed a bicycle consistent with the one Mr. Bell is known to ride. Based on this observation, I entered the Circle K and observed Mr. Bell standing at the front counter purchasing a fountain water.

I approached Mr. Bell. Upon noticing my presence, Mr. Bell grabbed the water and stated he needed to give it to a subject outside. I gave Mr. Bell a verbal command to come over and set the item down. Mr. Bell then attempted to exit the store. I took hold of Mr. Bell’s arm to prevent him from leaving, and I was able to place him in handcuffs without significant incident. Mr. Bell displayed passive resistance but did not actively or violently resist.

A search incident to arrest of Mr. Bell’s person and belongings revealed a glass pipe located inside a black sling bag in his possession. Mr. Bell was transported to the Pelham Police Department for processing and later transported to the Mitchell County Jail, where he was turned over to jail staff without further incident.

Disposition:

Based on the prior incident (Case #26-04-8343), Mr. Bell was charged with:

  • Criminal Trespass (OCGA 16-7-21)
  • Disorderly Conduct (OCGA 16-11-39)

Based on the glass pipe located during the search incident to arrest, Mr. Bell was additionally charged with:

  • Possession of Drug Related Objects (OCGA 16-13-32.2)

Contraband and evidence were seized, documented on a property receipt, and placed into the evidence locker in accordance with department policy. All related paperwork, including City Summons, Barrment Notice form, and this incident report, was submitted to the Clerk of Courts.
