On 07/03/2026 @ 1738 hrs Deputy Singletary responded to a 911 call that occurred in the county at [7800 BLOCK] Wiregrass Road but the complainant was going to [100 BLOCK] McDonald Street in Camilla. Singletary went to the complainant and Deputy Ponder went to Wiregrass Road.
Singletary met with the complainant, Margaret Maloney, who was sitting in her car in the driveway. Maloney advised she and her ex-girlfriend, Samantha Dean, had gotten into a fight at [7800 BLOCK] Wiregrass Road. Maloney advised Dean struck her several times, slammed her to the ground, attempted to choke her, and slammed her head in the car window breaking it. Maloney advised she attempted to hit Dean with her car. Ems transported Maloney to the Mitchell County ER. Singletary observed some scrapes on her knee and red marks on her neck.
Singletary went to [7800 BLOCK] Wiregrass Road where Deputy Ponder was standing by with Dean. Upon arrival Dean reports she was sitting in the car and Maloney grabbed her to pull her out of the car. Dean advised she began to fight with her and they both were hitting each other. Dean advised she pushed Maloney and her head hit the car window. Dean advised Maloney was told to leave and Maloney attempted to run her over with the car. Dean advised she moved out of the way and Maloney backed up and attempted to run her over again before leaving.
It was determined the best coarse of action was to charge both parties with disorderly conduct because Dean was at a residence away from Maloney. Maloney came to where Dean was located. Mutual combat by fighting occurred by both parties. Both parties had different versions of how the altercation occurred. Singletary charged both parties involved with disorderly conduct on citation. Dean was arrested and taken to make bond transported by Deputy Ponder. Maloney was picked up from Mitchell County ER and transported by Singletary to make bond.
