On 5/21/2026 at approximately 0004 hours, I was dispatched to 480 Holiday Cir., commonly known as the Red Roof Inn, in reference to a disturbance. Upon my arrival, I made contact with [WITNESS #1], [WITNESS #2], and [WITNESS #3].
[WITNESS #1] stated that a woman identified as Amy Stephens was kicking a room door and screaming in the courtyard. She further stated that the room being kicked belonged to her 18-year-old son and 17-year-old daughter, who feared Ms. Stephens and did not want her inside the room.
When asked further about the situation, both [WITNESS #2] and [WITNESS #3] stated that Ms. Stephens has a history of terrorizing her daughter by punching her bed to wake her up in the middle of the night, punching walls, and yelling while under the influence of alcohol. They further stated that Ms. Stephens’ daughter has autism and that residents of the hotel help take care of her and her brother due to their mother staying out all night.
I then made contact with Ms. Stephens in front of Room [REDACTED]. When asked about the incident, Ms. Stephens stated that she was not kicking the door, but only knocking, and that there was no damage to the door. I then knocked on the door and made contact with the 18-year-old and 17-year-old occupants, who stated that they did not want their mother inside the room. They further stated that Ms. Stephens had been kicking the door and that they refused to open it.
Cpl. Manning and I escorted Ms. Stephens back to the front of the building. While there, I made contact again with [WITNESS #1] in reference to security camera footage. [WITNESS #1] stated that she was unable to provide the footage because only the owner has access to the cameras. I then asked [WITNESS #1] if she would be able to identify any damage to the door by looking at it, and she stated that she could.
[WITNESS #1] and I then walked to the room door, where she was able to identify a dent in the bottom panel of the door. [WITNESS #1] stated that the damage was not there previously and that she wished to press charges for the damage.
Ms. Stephens was then placed in handcuffs behind her back, checked for proper fit, and secured in the rear seat of Cpl. Manning’s patrol vehicle.
Ms. Stephens was transported to the Monroe County Detention Center without incident. Ms. Stephens was also criminally trespassed from the Red Roof Inn.
Warrants were issued for the following charges:
Disorderly Conduct
Criminal Trespass/Damage to Property
