On Tuesday, August 11, 2026, at approximately 0250 hours, I, Deputy Short, was dispatched to [900 BLOCK] Juliette road in reference to a domestic disturbance in which we were advised that the female victim stated her boyfriend had just assaulted her, she was bleeding from her face, and she believed her boyfriend was actively following her.

When I arrived, I spoke with the victim, [VICTIM #1], who told me that she had been beaten by her boyfriend, Antonio Butts at the address of [900 BLOCK] Juliette road. [VICTIM #1] had blood on her shirt and visible injuries to both shoulders near her neck, arms, a busted lip, and injuries to her upper back. She also stated that during the fight that Butts had used his hands in an attempt to strangle her. When asked where Butts may be now, she told me that she believed he was still inside the residence. While another Deputy remained with [VICTIM #1] and further evaluated her condition while awaiting EMS’s arrival, myself and other responding units went to [900 BLOCK] Juliette road to attempt to locate Butts. While observing the residence and it’s surrounding curtiledge, Deputy Wilson informed us that Antonio was a convicted felon and per the victim, he was actively in possession of a “Draco” rifle and that he had a high likelyhood of engaging Law Enforcement with the rifle. Due to this newely obtained information, we expanded our perimeter around the residence and began to actively observe all points of entry.

[VICTIM #1] was transfered into the care of Monroe County EMS to be further evaluated for her injuries.

While we continued to maintain a perimeter around the residence and further evaluate the incident at hand, the decision to contact the Monroe County Incident commander and SWAT commander was made. We also contacted the on call drone operator so that we could attempt to establish an aerial view of the location in order to gain further intelligence of the residence and it’s surrounding area.

While doing this, I made my way to [VICTIM #1]s location to gain more information about what had initially fueled this domestic incident. [VICTIM #1] told me that she had recieved a text on the morning of 8/10/2026 from an unknown number stating “Good morning beautiful”. [VICTIM #1] told me that she did not know who sent the message but that it visually upset Antonio. She told me that he began to drink alcohol and continued drinking throughout the day. She stated that, throughout the day, he continued to insult and threaten her. [VICTIM #1] told me that around 0130 hours the altercation escalated and Antonio threw her on the ground in the spare bedroom before telling her that he was going to “stomp her pu*sy a*s head in”. He then threw her into the living room and slammed her on the ground again, he then locked the door to the residence, went back to where she was at, and placed his hands around her neck in an attempted to strangle her. During this time frame, Butts also snatched [VICTIM #1]s cellphone out of her pocket in order to intentionally deprive her of its possession. [VICTIM #1] managed to break free from Butts during this specific altercation, before running next door to her neighbors house, [REDACTED]. [REDACTED] called 911 to report the incident.

I made contact with Mr. [REDACTED] and he informed me that he was woken up by his dog barking and heard screaming outside. He told me he opened his front door to find [VICTIM #1] on his porch, crying, with blood on her clothing and marks on her body. He then called 911 and informed Monroe County dispatch of what he had witnessed.

[VICTIM #1] refused further medical treatment and was transported away from her residence and to her place of employment to remain with individuals she was familiar with.

Warrants were issued for Antonio Butts for Aggravated Assault, Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, False imprisonment, and Robbery.
