On July 04, 2023, at 00:11 hours, I Officer C. Taylor was dispatched to [200 BLOCK] Willis Wilder Dr. and responded in code three in reference to an assault. Upon my arrival, I made contact with the complainant (Ms. [VICTIM #1]) who stated she was in bed with her boyfriend (Mr. [VICTIM #2]) when her ex-boyfriend (Mr. Evans) broke into her apartment. Ms. [VICTIM #1] stated that Mr. Evans hit her and Mr. [VICTIM #2]. Ms. [VICTIM #1] stated that Mr. Evans broke a shelf and a broom. Ms. [VICTIM #1] stated that Mr. Evans broke a liquor bottle by hitting Mr. [VICTIM #2].

I noticed Ms. [VICTIM #1] had blood on her face. I noticed Ms. [VICTIM #1] had marks on both sides of her face. Monroe County EMS checked Ms. [VICTIM #1]. I noticed that blood was on the porch, the living room floor, the floor of the hallway, and on the wall and floor of the bedroom. I noticed a broken self in the hallway and a broken broom in the bedroom. Dispatch advised that Mr. [VICTIM #2] is at Monroe County Hospital.

I went to Monroe County Hospital and made contact with Mr. [VICTIM #2]. I asked Mr. [VICTIM #2] about the incident. Mr. [VICTIM #2] stated he was laying in bed with Ms. [VICTIM #1] when Mr. Evans walked into the room. Mr. [VICTIM #2] stated that Mr. Evans stated to Ms. [VICTIM #1], I thought you loved me. Mr. [VICTIM #2] stated he stood and was hit in the back of the head with a liquor bottle. Mr. [VICTIM #2] stated he lost balance for a second before he stood up again. Mr. [VICTIM #2] stated when he stood up he saw Mr. Evans and Ms. [VICTIM #1] fighting. Mr. [VICTIM #2] stated he saw Mr. Evans hit Ms. [VICTIM #1] with a stick. Mr. [VICTIM #2] stated he hit Mr. Evans, which caused a cut on his finger and broke it. Mr. [VICTIM #2] had a cut on the back of his head from the liquor bottle hitting him.

Mr. [VICTIM #2] stated that he has never met Mr. Evans prior to this incident. Mr. [VICTIM #2] stated he only knows Mr. Evans as Prince.

Investigator Jefcoats was notified of the incident. Investigator Jefcoats arrived on scene and turned it over to him.
