On Saturday August 15, 2026 at approximately 08:55 hours I, Sgt Rodgers, was dispatched to [400 BLOCK] Jeffrey Way in reference to a disturbance. Upon arrival, I made contact with the complainant, [WITNESS #1].

[WITNESS #1] stated his daughter, [VICTIM #1], has a boyfriend by the name of Daniel Bennett. [WITNESS #1] stated Daniel has anger issues and has damaged [VICTIM #1]’s car in the past. He stated he heard yelling and beating, so he came outside. [WITNESS #1] stated Daniel was yelling and beating on the dash to [VICTIM #1]’s vehicle. He stated he did not want Daniel to go to jail, but asked if we could take him somewhere. He stated he did not see Daniel put his hands on [VICTIM #1] and does not believe he had. I observed dents on the hood and fender of the car, which [WITNESS #1] said was from a previous incident. The car was a 2017 Honda Accord, displaying Georgia tag “[REDACTED],” that was registered to [VICTIM #1].

[VICTIM #1] was sitting in the vehicle, visibly distrought from the incident. She stated Daniel was hitting her dash in her car, but it was okay. She stated Daniel did not put his hands on her.

Daniel was inside the residence while I was speaking to the other parties. Once he stepped outside, he put his hands behind his back and requested for me just to take him. I placed him in handcuffs. They were checked for fit and double locked. While Daniel was being escorted to the car, he continued yelling at [VICTIM #1] and [WITNESS #1]. Daniel was secured in the backseat of my patrol vehicle and transported to the Monroe County Jail. Daniel was cited for disorderly conduct under the county ordinance and was turned over to jail staff. I searched my backseat prior to and after transporting Daniel, with no contraband found.
