On Sunday, September 13, 2026, at approximately 1400 hours, I, Deputy J. Linville was dispatched to [30 BLOCK] Bowdoin Rd in reference to a domestic dispute. I arrived and made contact with the complainant who identified herself as [WITNESS #1].
[WITNESS #1] stated she arrived at the residence with her friend who she identified as [VICTIM #1] to help her move her belongings. [WITNESS #1] stated upon her arrival, [VICTIM #1]’s Fiance, who later identified as Isaiah Johnson, came outside and was walking towards [VICTIM #1]’s vehicle. [WITNESS #1] stated she heard [VICTIM #1] scream and when she looked up she saw Isaiah reaching over top of [VICTIM #1] and observed what appeared to be Isaiah hitting her in the face.
I then made contact with [VICTIM #1]. [VICTIM #1] stated that she and Isaiah were in the process of splitting up and believed that was the reason for Isaiah’s behavior. I asked [VICTIM #1] if Isaiah had hit her in the face. [VICTIM #1] stated, “Yes”, while pointing to her lip. [VICTIM #1] then stated that her lower lip was bleeding prior to my arrival. Based on the totality of the circumstances, and [VICTIM #1]’s admittance, Isaiah was placed under arrest for Simple Battery. I then escorted Isaiah to the front of my marked patrol vehicle where I read him his Miranda Rights. After reading Isaiah his rights. Isaiah stated that he understood his rights and further stated that he would answer any investigatory questioning.
Upon questioning, Isaiah stated that he did not strike [VICTIM #1] in the face and denied making any physical contact with her. I conducted a frisk of Isaiah’s outer clothing for weapons. No weapons were located. Isaiah was then placed in the rear compartment of my patrol vehicle while I continued my investigation.
At this time, [VICTIM #1] stated she did not want Isaiah to go to jail and that he did not intentionally hit her. I then advised [VICTIM #1] to explain how Isaiah made contact with her. [VICTIM #1] stated, upon her arrival, Isaiah came outside and reached over her lap and snatched the keys out of the U-Haul truck she had rented. [VICTIM #1] stated when Isaiah snatched the keys out of the truck he struck her in the face unintentionally.
I then asked [WITNESS #1] if she observed any physical contact during the interaction. [WITNESS #1] stated that, while she observed Isaiah reaching over [VICTIM #1], his arm appeared to move back towards [VICTIM #1], giving the appearance that Isaiah was striking her in the face. I asked [WITNESS #1] if she would be willing to complete a witness statement, and she stated that she would. [VICTIM #1] was given a case number and advised a report would be made concerning the incident. At this time, Isaiah was transported to the Monroe County Jail and he received a County Ordinance citation for – Disorderly Conduct 7-5-2 (1). A copy of the witness statement was uploaded into linked files on the report.
