On Saturday April 4, 2026, I, Deputy Grant, responded to a call regarding dogs running loose on the property at [900 BLOCK] Colvin Rd. Upon arrival, I, along with the homeowners, was able to secure one of the dogs inside their fenced yard. While doing so, I observed an open wound on the dog’s neck, located under its chin.
I then attempted to make contact with the owner of the dogs at [800 BLOCK] Colvin Rd. Upon observation, the residence appeared to be abandoned. Both dogs appeared to have been left without access to food or water.
I contacted Animal Control and advised them of the situation. Animal Control responded to the scene, took photographs of the property, the cut leads found on the dogs, and evidence showing the animals were without food and water. Both dogs were taken into Animal Control custody, and a notice was left on the door at [800 BLOCK] Colvin Rd.
