Driver 1 stated she was traveling south on Ga Hwy 42 N. Driver 1 stated she was distracted on her phone when negotiating a curve. Driver 1 stated she made contact with the side of Driver 2’s vehicle as they were passing each other. Driver 1 continued south down Hwy 42 N and did not stop out with Driver 2 after making contact with his vehicle. Driver 1 pulled off the roadway and left her vehicle at the intersection of 42 N and Johnsonville Rd. Driver 2 stated he was traveling north on Ga Hwy 42 N.
Driver 2 stated he was negotiating a curve north of Johnsonville Rd when Driver 1’s vehicle crossed the center line and made contact with the rear of his vehicle. Driver 2 stated Driver 1 continued south on Hwy 42 N and did not stop after making contact with his vehicle.
Driver 1 was arrested and charged with hit and run and hands free law.
