On April 29th, 2026 I (Cpl Rodriguez) received a call for service in reference to a suspicious person at 343 North Lee St being the Days Inn Hotel. Upon my arrival dispatch advised me to meet with the property manager inside the lobby of the days Inn. Upon entering the property manager a Mr. [WITNESS #1] advised me that their was two white males fighting in room [REDACTED].
I then advised dispatch over the radio of the situation and made my way to room [REDACTED] with Officer Dent. Upon approaching room [REDACTED] I noticed a white male in a construction green shirt walking to a white Acura. I then asked the white male later identified as Mr. Ryant Haney where he had came from to which he advised room [REDACTED]. I then ordered Mr. Haney to the ground and told Officer Dent to handcuff him for the purpose of detainment.
Shortly after another white male came towards myself, Ofc Dent and Mr. Haney to which I asked him as well where was he coming from to which he advised room [REDACTED] also. I then placed the white male in handcuffs and identified him as Mr. [VICTIM #1]. I then asked Mr. [VICTIM #1] what was going on to which he advised me that Mr. Haney entered his and his girlfriend’s hotel room. Mr. [VICTIM #1] explained to me that Mr. Haney had been stalking his girlfriend a Ms. [VICTIM #2].
Mr. [VICTIM #1] explained to me that he and Ms. [VICTIM #2] heard banging on the door and when they went to go open no one was there. Mr. [VICTIM #1] then exited the room to see if he could see anyone, even going around the corner of the building to find the person knocking. When he returned he noticed Mr. Haney inside his room talking to Ms. [VICTIM #2] and asked Mr. Haney to remove himself from the room. Mr. [VICTIM #1] also stated to me that Ms. [VICTIM #2] and Mr. Haney use to date but now Ms. [VICTIM #2] and Mr. [VICTIM #1] were in a relationship even went to rehab together. Mr. [VICTIM #1] believes Mr. Haney stalks Ms. [VICTIM #2] to which I had no evidence of.
Ms. [VICTIM #2] explained to me she did not give permission to Mr. Haney to enter the room. Property manager also filled out witness statement stating he seen the room door to [REDACTED] cracked and then seen Mr. Haney (green shirt) enter the room without permission. Mr. [WITNESS #1] stated he did want Mr. Haney criminally trespassed to which he was and he was cited for disorderly conduct city ordinance. Both Mr. [VICTIM #1] and Ms. [VICTIM #2] stated, Mr. Haney was not allowed in the room.
Mr. Haney was then notified he was under arrest for disorderly conduct, his handcuffs were check for fit and placed behind his back. Ofc Maranville then transported Mr. Haney to the Monroe County jail where he was processed and turned over to jail staff.
