On this date May, 10. 2026 approximately 16:55 hours. I Officer Dent was dispatched to 130 North Lee Street located within the jurisdiction of Forsyth Ga. In reference to a white male verbally threating the nurses and stating, “he was going to shoot it up” Officer Gates and I responded emergency lights and sirens due to the nature of the call.

Upon arrival I spoke to Mr. Retherford who was sitting in the waiting area. Mr. Retherford stated that he was frustrated, and tired of being turned away by medical facilities for his health. I asked Mr. Retherford what did he Say to the nursing staff. He stated, “he didn’t know”, I made contact with Ms. [VICTIM #1] who is the front desk receptionist at the Care Connect. Upon speaking to Ms. [VICTIM #1], I observed she appeared to be extremely scared, and her face was red and flushed. Ms. [VICTIM #1] appeared to not want to be near the waiting area.

Due to my observations Mr. Retherford was advised to step outside with officer Solomon. Ms. [VICTIM #1] stated, “he was here asking for medical services and if he didn’t get help, he was going to the courthouse tomorrow to do something bad”. Ms. [VICTIM #1] stated due to those statements made by Mr. Rethford, she and her staff went through lockdown procedures for their establishment. Per Ms. [VICTIM #1], there were patients and children in the back of the facility waiting for care and had to be moved to a secure location in the facility due to the statements made by Mr. Rethford. I asked Ms. [VICTIM #1] did she want Mr. Rethford criminally trespassed from the location. She stated, “no she just wanted him removed from her establishment”.

Due to the witness statements received and the emergency response to the business. I did find by my training, knowledge, and experience, that Mr. Rethford did commit the violations of the city ordinance of Disorderly conduct. I then instructed Mr. Rethford to place his hands behind his back. Handcuffs were applied to his wrist to the rear, double locked, and checked for fit. Mr. Rethford was escorted to the rear seat of a marked patrol vehicle and was transported to the Monroe County jail. Mr. Rethford was cited for Disorderly Conduct 15- 8 subsection 1, 2, and 10.
