On Tuesday August 25, 2026 at approximately 0305 hours Dispatch gave out a BOLO for a dark four door sedan On GA 401 South Bound at Mile Marker 198. The caller following the vehicle advised they were swerving all over the roadway and going off the road multiple times. I advised dispatch I would be standing by at Mile Marker 191 to Intercept the vehicle.
At approximately 0310 hours, I, Deputy Yeager observed the vehicle coming down the hill just past Mile Marker 192 merging from the Second to Third lane. As I began to enter the Interstate I witnessed the vehicle leave the roadway going Into the far right emergency lane almost striking the guard rail before merging back Into the Third lane of traffic. At this time I advised dispatch I would be Initiating a traffic stop on this vehicle.
The vehicle took longer than usual to react to my emergency lights and sirens eventually pulling over at the entrance of the South Bound weigh station.
At this time I exited my patrol vehicle and approached the driver side window making contact with the driver (Trameca Williamson). I asked Williamson to provide me her drivers license in which she did. I advised her the reason for the stop was for her failure to maintain lane. While speaking to her she was not paying attention to what I was saying and was occupied by her cellular device that had a water detected alert in the charging port. As I continued to attempt to gain her attention, her actions were as if I was not standing next to her.
At this time I gave a verbal command for Williamson to set the phone down and exit her vehicle, walking to the rear in which she complied without Issue.
While speaking with Williamson I could smell the odor of an alcoholic beverage omitting from her breath. I asked her if she had consumed any alcoholic beverages this evening In which she stated she only had one drink three hours prior. When asked how many ounces the drink was she told me she was unsure but was not much. She advised me she typically does not drink because she’s the designated driver for her friends.
I then asked Williamson If she would perform Standardized Field Sobriety Testing (SFST) In which she YES.
The first SFST conducted was the Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus Test. After ensuring Williamson did not have any Issues with her eyes, I advised her to stand in the start position. I explained this test to her and asked If she understood where she stated YES. Williamson displayed a lack of smooth pursuit, Distinct and sustained nystagmus at maximum deviation and onset nystagmus prior to 45 degrees In both eyes. Williamson also kept tilting her head to the side, was losing focus of my stimulus several times and turned her head even though I was Instructing her several times to keep her head still.
The second SFST conducted was the walk and turn test. I Instructed Williamson to stand In the start position and not begin until I told her to do so. I explained and demonstrated the test to her and asked if she understood in which she stated YES. During this test Williamson was failing to step heel to toe throughout, swayed and turned Improperly.
The Third SFST conducted was the one leg stand. I advised Williamson to stand In the start position while I explained and demonstrated. I asked if she understood in which she stated YES. During this, she put her foot down, swayed and could not keep track of counting out loud repeating the same number, skipping numbers and back tracking to a previous number she already stated.
I asked Williamson If she would give a breath sample for my alco sensor In which she denied.
I placed Williamson in handcuffs with her hands behind her back. The handcuffs were double locked and checked for fit. I then placed her in the passenger side rear of my patrol vehicle where I read her the Georgia Implied Consent Notice for suspects Age 21 Or Over (Green card) requesting blood. Williamson consented to the state test.
The vehicle was Inventoried for contraband and later turned over to Tracy’s towing.
I transported Williamson to the Monroe County Emergency Room for blood draw where I then after transported her to the Monroe County Jail and she was booked in and turned over to the Jail staff.
Williamson received citations for the following:
-DUI – Less safe Alcohol
-Failure to maintain lane
-Failure to signal when turning or changing lanes
-Expired registration
I asked my dispatch to run a Criminal and Driver history on Williamson which will be added to the linked files of the report.
