On August 21, 2026, at approximately 1259 hours, I, Officer McEachern, responded to [200 BLOCK] Union Hill Drive in reference to a disturbance involving a possible firearm.
Upon arrival, I made contact with three Black females outside the apartments, identified as Tyanna Branch (DOB: [REDACTED]), [REDACTED] (DOB: [REDACTED]), and [REDACTED] (DOB: [REDACTED]). I also made contact with the complainant, [VICTIM #1] (DOB: [REDACTED]).
[VICTIM #1] stated that she was walking downstairs from her apartment while carrying a firearm inside her waistband. While walking down the stairs, she reached for the firearm to adjust its position because it was falling down her leg. Tyanna Branch stated that she reached for the firearm as a show of aggression.
Tyanna Branch stated that she was sitting at the bottom of the stairs with [REDACTED], who was holding a baby, at the time of the incident. Words were exchanged between both parties, causing a disturbance within the apartment. [VICTIM #1] stated that she went back upstairs and called law enforcement because she was fearful to leave her apartment due to the females waiting for her to come outside.
While speaking with all individuals involved, another Black female, identified as Takelya Thomas (DOB: [REDACTED]), intervened and began causing a disturbance. All individuals involved were instructed multiple times to stop being irate; however, they continued to do so. As a result, all parties involved were cited for Disorderly Conduct under City Ordinance 15-8. All parties were instructed to stay away from each other and have no verbal communication.
Myself and the other officers left the scene. Approximately 10 minutes later, we were called back to the scene in reference to [VICTIM #1] walking toward the manager’s building while Tyanna Branch followed her. This caused [VICTIM #1] to fear for her safety after she had been instructed to stay away from Tyanna Branch.
[VICTIM #1] asked the manager to keep the door shut and call law enforcement. When we arrived back on scene, Officer Rodgers made contact with Tyanna Branch and detained her while we reviewed camera footage of the incident.
The camera footage showed Tyanna Branch following [VICTIM #1] in what appeared to be an attempt to antagonize or provoke her. Tyanna Branch was placed under arrest for Disorderly Conduct (O.C.G.A. § 16-11-39) and transported to the Monroe County Detention Center.
I obtained a warrant for Tyanna Branch for Disorderly Conduct, warrant #26-657A.
