On Monday December 2, 2024 at approximately 1105 hours, I, Deputy Hawkins responded to 185 Thornton Road (The Fox Den Academy) in reference to an irate employee, refusing to leave the property.
Upon arrival, I made contact with [WITNESS #1]. [WITNESS #1] stated that Vqeshia Hall is an employee for him but when she came back from lunch, she reeked of a strong odor of marijuana. [WITNESS #1] stated this was not the first time she has come into work smelling like marijuana. [WITNESS #1] stated when she was confronted today, she became irate, yelling and would not leave when asked to do so. [WITNESS #1] stated he had no choice but to call law enforcement due to having children in the building and putting the school on lock down.
I then went to the classroom where Hall was located. Hall was currently packing up belonging she stated belonged to her. Hall stated they had terminated her and wanted to get her stuff. Hall was rambling and not telling us what had happened. Cpl Bryson attempted to explain what Hall needed to do but she was not listening. I then advised Cpl. Bryson that [WITNESS #1] stated he [WITNESS #1] out of the building and that he would be mailing her belonging to her. Hall continued to refused to stop packing items. Cpl Bryson was finally able to get her to stop and start to walk out of the door. Hall was followed out of the building, into the parking lot to her 2013 Honda Accord, Georgia tag [REDACTED]. Hall proceeded to lay her bag and a book on the hood of her car, open her car door and crank her car. During this, Hall was instructed to get all of her things off the hood and get in her car and leave. Hall continued to drag her feet and try to tell slow the process of her leaving. As soon as the driver side door was opened on her vehicle, a strong odor of marijuana came from inside the vehicle. We then instructed Hall we needed her license to issue a criminal trespass notice for 185 Thornton Road, per the Director, [WITNESS #1]. Hall first stated she did not have them, then stated they were in her car. I then opened her passenger side door and stated that we were going to search the vehicle due to the odor of marijuana. Hall then stated she had her license in her pocket, in order for us not to get into her vehicle.
During the search of the vehicle, in the middle console of the vehicle there were rolling papers, a small baggie of suspected marijuana and back wood cigarettes, commonly used to take the tobacco out and roll marijuana in them to smoke. Also in the middle console were suspect marijuana half smoked joints.
All evidence was placed into a seal evidence bag and secured in the trunk of my patrol vehicle later to be entered into evidence.
Vqeshia Hall was then placed under arrest with her hands behind her back. Hall was then escorted to the back of my patrol vehicle by a City of Forsyth Officer who arrived on scene to assist. Hall was first escorted to the left side of my patrol vehicle. Cpl Bryson then instructed Hall to stand up and come to the right side of the patrol vehicle. Hall then walked around to the right side but would not get all the way into the patrol vehicle. Cpl Bryson had to physically push Hall into the back seat of my patrol vehicle.
Monroe County Dispatch was notified to have Tracey’s Wrecker in route to tow her vehicle. A tow sheet was filled out and provided to the tow service.
A Criminal Trespass Notice was issued to Vqeshia Hall, signed and witnessed.
All evidence was entered and placed into Evidence.
I transported Hall to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office and turned custody over to jail staff. I charged Hall with the following charges: Obstruction, Disorderly Conduct, and Possession of Marijuana less than one ounce.
