On 04/7/2026, at approximately 1040 hours, I Officer Maranville, was dispatched to 240 Harold G Clarke PKWY. In reference to a fight taking place in a vehicle in the parking lot of the Quick Trip gas station.
Upon arrival made contact with witnesses who directed me to the vehicle. Then made contact with a male passenger and a female driver in the vehicle. Corporal Rodriguez made contact with the female while I made contact with the male. Due to the nature of the call, I asked the male subject to exit the vehicle. Upon the passenger door opening I observed a small bag containing Marijuana and a glass baby food jar containing Marijuana. I then collected the Marijuana and placed on my patrol vehicle.
I then identified the male subject as William Norfleet through Florida ID card he provided. I then questioned Norfleet regarding what had taken place. Norfleet stated nothing was going on they just had an argument and that was it. Then asked Norfleet who the Marijuana belonged to he stated it belonged to the female but they were both smoking it.
I then made contact with the female who was identified as Shanise Montgomery through Florida license she provided. I observed blood coming from Montgomery nose that appeared to be a scratch in her right nostril. Montgomery stated they were arguing, and she was yelling at Norfleet when he got in her face, so she shoved him. Norfleet then was on top of Montgomery restraining her.
Montgomery was then asked if either of them through any strikes and she stated she was unsure due to it happing so fast. Montgomery was then asked if there was any more Marijuana in the vehicle due to the strong smell coming from the vehicle. Montgomery advised that she had Marijuana hidden on her person. Montgomery then recovered the white container containing Marijuana and it was collected and taken for evidence.
Then made contact with three different witnesses who observed the altercation. Witnesses advised both Montgomery and Norfleet were actively physically fighting in the vehicle causing the vehicle to shake. Witnesses all agreed to submit a written witness statement.
Montgomery and Norfleet were then placed under arrest, hand cuffs placed to the rear and checked for fit and tightness and double locked. Montgomery and Norfleet were charged with Disorderly Conduct and possession of Marijuana less than a ounce. Montgomery was then transported to Monroe County Jail by Officer Solomon. I transported Norfleet to Monroe County Jail.
The vehicle towed by Mid Georgia Towing. The evidence was all collected and submitted into evidence at Forsyth Police Department.
