On 6-23-24 at 11:15, I was dispatched to [500 BLOCK] Academy Street in reference to an altercation between the homeowner [VICTIM #1] and a tenant Marcus Fritz.
Upon arrival, I spoke with Fritz about the incident. Fritz advised that he did have an altercation with [VICTIM #1] and did slap [VICTIM #1] only in self defense. Fritz advised that [VICTIM #1] threw a glass of milk at him getting the milk on his person.
I then spoke with [VICTIM #1] whom advised that Fritz had been disrupting the house on multiple occasions and on this date, Fritz approached [VICTIM #1] from behind in an aggressive manner. [VICTIM #1] advised that he push back with his elbow to get Fritz away from him and that was when Fritz slapped [VICTIM #1] with an open hand in the right ear. [VICTIM #1] advised that he then threw the glass of milk at Fritz to get him away from him.
I did observed milk in the floor, on the stove and on the wall at the backdoor way. I also observed the broken glass laying in the floor from the glass that was thrown. [VICTIM #1] did have redness to his ear from being slapped by Fritz. [VICTIM #1] advised that he just wanted Fritz to leave and if he didn’t he wanted to press charges on Fritz.
Fritz was advised that he was being placed under arrest and was transported to the Morgan County Jail. Fritz was issued a citation for disorderly conduct and released to the jail staff for booking.
