On July 06, 2025 while working a off duty detail at the Murray County Saddle Club for a event known as Wagon Train, Captain Thurman informed me that he was advised that a older male in a white shirt and overalls was possibly trying to get underage girls go smoke something with him. We then briefly observed the male walking away from the dance hall and around the South Side of the arena. We attempted to locate him and could not.
Later this morning a group of subjects escorted the male to us stating that he was trying to get girls to come to him. We then took possession of the male and escorted him to his car. We identified the male as Jesse Watkins and once at his car I asked him for consent to search his vehicle and he stated we could. He then unlocked the car and attempted to sit down inside it. We then had him get back out of the car and at this time I could smell the odor of Marijuana coming from the car. I then asked other deputies to check him and I began searching the car. Inside the car center console I observed 3 Marijuana buds loosely in a cup holder and a burnt Marijuana cigarette in the passenger seat. A empty six pack of alcohol was also located in the trunk. The male was also carrying around a blue plastic cup tonight. I checked this cup and it smelled to be a alcoholic beverage. It was then poured out onto the ground. The Marijuana was seized for evidence.
The staff of the Saddle Club also wished for the male to be trespassed from the property. I placed Mr. Jesse Watkins under arrest for Possession of Marijuana less than one ounce and Disorderly Conduct due to his intoxicated behavior causing a breach of the peace. I could not pursue him trying to entice a minor any further due to the witness’s going on and not knowing where they were at.
