On 07/03/2022 I, Deputy Burchfield, was dispatched to the Murray County Sheriff’s Office lobby in reference to [WITNESS #1] stating that her son William Walker Tarvin was drunk and possibly on drugs. Upon arrival Ms. Tarvin and her son where waiting in the lobby, while her husband and other son waited in the truck.

I asked Ms. Tarvin to explain to me what was going on. Ms. Tarvin stated that her son had left home on 07/01/2022 and was supposed to be with friends for two hours then return. Ms. Tarvin stated that she was informed that her son was at the Saddle Club. Ms. Tarvin stated she went to the Saddle Club and found her son extremely drunk. Ms. Tarvin then proceeded to bring her son to the SO.

I asked Mr. Tarvin if he had been drinking. Mr. Tarvin stated that he had about 15 beers. He also informed me that he had purchased the alcohol from the convenient store in Eton because they do not check ID’s. Mr. Tarvin also stated that he was the only one that had bought alcohol and had given it to his friends. Mr. Tarvin stated that he had bought a 30 pack or Coor’s light, 12 pack of Twisted Ice Tea and two Bootlegger whiskey bottles. I informed Mr. Tarvin that furnishing alcohol to minors is also illegal.

At this time Mr. Tarvin was placed under arrest and turned over to jail staff. I then escorted the Ms. Tarvin and her husband to the saddle club where they where able to retrieve their cooler that the son had taken.
