On Saturday 04-30-2023, I Deputy James responded to an address located on Christian Woods Drive in reference to an Assault.
Contact was made with the victim, who was intoxicated and he was bleeding from an injury to his his head. The victim was checked by EMS personnel and refused to be transported to the hospital to receive medical care. I was advised such injuriy was the result of a physical altercation between the victim and his step-daughter.
Contact was made with the female offender, who addmitted striking her step-father in the head with a glass bottle, which caused the injury. The offender was placed under arrest with the listed charge.
The offender was escorted to the back of my patrol vehicle and transported to the Newton County Detention Center. A case number was assigned to thius call.
