On Sunday 05/31/2026 I met with units from Butts County at Fire Station 3 in reference to a juvenile being sexually assaulted.
Upon my arrival Butts County SO units advised me of the incident and I made contact with the complainant. The complainant is the juvenile’s mother who stated the juvenile told her and her grandmother the offender had been performing oral sex with her. The offender is the juvenile’s father. The complainant stated the last known incident occured two months ago(unknown date/time) and allegedly occured only once between the offender and victim.
The complainant stated the juvenile informed the family on Saturday night 05/30/2026 and after the incident was disclosed the complainant went to the incident residence to address the offender. The complainant stated the offender did admit to performing sexual acts with the juvenile and that he promised not to do it again because he needs help.
The complainant stated the victim was leaving her grandmother house at the time she informed them about the incident. The complainant stated she was going to take the juvenile to the hospital and that they are going to be staying at grandmother’s house in Griffin until further notice.
DFCS was notified of the incident and I spoke to after hours region 5 unit Mr. [REDACTED]. Mr. [REDACTED] advised me that they would not be coming out for immediate assistance due to the juvenile being seperated from the offender and not being in a harmful environment.
Inv. Dunston was notified of the incident and advised deputies to not make contact with the offender due to CID continuing their investigation next date. An incident case card number was issued to the complainant.
