On June 19, 2023, I was dispatched to the area of Oak Hill Road in reference to a penetrating trauma. I arrived on scene at approximately 0047. Upon my arrival, I noticed a male, later identified as [VICTIM #1], lying face down on the driveway in a puddle of blood. The male was unresponsive and was not breathing.
I knocked on the door to see if anyone was inside the residence, then went back to tend to the victim. I then flipped the victim over and observed that the victim had two large wounds on his chest area that were beyond lifesaving measures.
I then noticed the residents inside the house starting to come out of the residence. I ordered the residents back. I then ordered all of the males later identified as [REDACTED], [REDACTED], [REDACTED], [REDACTED], [REDACTED], and [REDACTED] outside of the residence to the front yard and waited for backup to arrive.
Investigator Alberto # 9166 Crime Scene Investigator Bowels #9125 arrived, and the scene was turned over to them.
I then helped escort three of the males to the Newton County Sheriff’s Office.
Due to the fact that none of the males speak Spanish, I was unable to gather much information regarding the incident.
The reporting party, [WITNESS #1], was not on scene.
