On June 17, 2026, at approximately 2133 hours, I, Deputy Aaliyah Nelson, responded to a suicidal subject call at [80 BLOCK] Wedgewood Way, Dallas, GA 30132.
Upon arrival, I spoke with complainant [VICTIM #1]. Mr. [VICTIM #1] advised his son, Braiden Leach, made multiple statements including, “I should have killed myself when I had the chance.” Mr. [VICTIM #1] advised Mr. Braiden left the scene prior to my arrival. Mr. [VICTIM #1] stated his wife, [WITNESS #1], was part of the problem due to always making excuses for Mr. Braiden, and that marital problems existed between him and Mrs. [WITNESS #1] for that reason.
I spoke with Mrs. [WITNESS #1], who advised Mr. [VICTIM #1] continuously made their son an issue and that she was always asked to choose between Mr. [VICTIM #1] and Mr. Braiden. Mrs. [WITNESS #1] was able to contact Mr. Braiden and have him return to the residence so we could speak with him.
Mr. Braiden arrived at the residence. Deputy Turner attempted to speak with Mr. Braiden, to which he refused. I then attempted to speak with Mr. Braiden, but he stated he was a man and did not have to “f*cking talk to me.” I explained I was trying to investigate what had happened, to which Mr. Braiden stated it was his father’s fault. Mr. Braiden continuously told Deputy Turner and I that he did not want to talk to us. Deputy Turner asked Mr. Braiden about an injury to his hand, to which he stated he got upset and punched his wall. Mr. Braiden stated it was his wall and his property.
I asked Mr. [VICTIM #1] to show us the damage, to which he showed us multiple walls with multiple damages. Mr. [VICTIM #1] explained Mr. Braiden always punched the walls and that the majority of them were old, but he could not tell us which damage was from today. I attempted to ask Mr. Braiden which wall he punched, to which he changed his statement and stated he punched a shelf that belonged to him.
Throughout the investigation, Deputy Turner and I had to give Mr. Braiden multiple commands to remain silent due to him continuously hindering us from speaking with either party by making comments. Mr. Braiden continuously used vulgar language, cursing at Deputy Turner and at his father. Deputy Turner told Mr. Braiden to be quiet, to which Mr. Braiden stated, “how bout you f*cking make me.” I gave Mr. Braiden one more chance to remain silent, to which he did not comply.
Based on Mr. Braiden punching and damaging the wall, his continued interruption of the investigation, and his use of vulgar language toward law enforcement and his father, I placed Mr. Braiden under arrest for: Criminal Trespass, O.C.G.A. 16-7- 21 – punching and damaging wall; Obstruction of Law Enforcement Officer, O.C.G.A. 16-10-24 – hindering investigation by refusing commands to remain silent; Disorderly Conduct, O.C.G.A. 16-11-39- using abusive language in presence of others causing disturbance.
Mr. Braiden was arrested, checked for proper fit of restraints, and transported to the Paulding County Jail.
