On May 25, 2026, at approximately 1156 hours, I, Deputy Chumley, was dispatched to [90 BLOCK] Dunleith Dr in reference to a theft.
Upon arrival, I met with the victim/complainant, [VICTIM #1]. [VICTIM #1] stated her driver’s license and social security card were taken from her house at [90 BLOCK] Dunleith Dr by her sister/suspect, Crystal Huyliger, while she was hospitalized. [VICTIM #1] advised she was hospitalized and in rehab between the months of March and May of 2025. [VICTIM #1] stated she gave access to her house to Crystal because she was mentally incoherent during that time period due to illness.
[VICTIM #1] advised she did not give consent for Crystal to take her personal documents from her house. [VICTIM #1] stated her son/victim, [VICTIM #2], had his personal documents taken by Crystal as well. [VICTIM #1] advised Crystal took [VICTIM #2]’s social security card, driver’s license, and old Iphone to her house as well. [VICTIM #2] did not specify the Iphone model or type. [VICTIM #1] stated she was told by Crystal that she placed all of the items into her fire proof safe at her house.
[VICTIM #1] advised she is unable to access her personal banking accounts, mortgage account, and email because her sister has access to them. [VICTIM #1] stated she did give passwords to all of her accounts to her sister. [VICTIM #1] advised she received notices that her house payment was not made for two months. [VICTIM #1] stated she also received a notice that her car payment was not made for a month. [VICTIM #1] advised she is unable to access her accounts because she does not have her driver’s license.
[VICTIM #1] stated she called Crystal multiple times in the past month to retrieve her items but she did not answer.
[VICTIM #2] stated he also attempted to contact Crystal via text. [VICTIM #2] advised he text Crystal multiple times asking if he and [VICTIM #1] could retrieve their documents. [VICTIM #2] stated Crystal avoided his text messages and did not provide an option to retrieve or pick up the documents. [VICTIM #2] provided photo evidence of the text messages.
[VICTIM #1] advised even though she was hospitalized, Crystal was never granted power of attorney. [VICTIM #1] stated Crystal attempted to obtain power of attorney but it was revoked. [VICTIM #2] sent a picture of the revoke power of attorney document. [VICTIM #1] also stated that her name was forged onto the power of attorney application document.
[VICTIM #1] stated her sister also has her Jeep Wrangler and the keys to it.
[VICTIM #1] stated she believed that Crystal tampered with her Alexas. [VICTIM #1] advised that Crystal has access to her ADT cameras. [VICTIM #1] stated she believed that Crystal deleted her Amazon account after deputies were a few weeks ago. [VICTIM #1] advised the Alexas kept track of her medication schedule and when they were taken. [VICTIM #1] stated that she lost track of her medication schedule and the number of times her medication was consumed because Crystal tampered with her Alexas.
[VICTIM #1] stated she did not want to press charges. [VICTIM #1] requested a report for documentation to create a paper trail and to obtain a new license. [VICTIM #1] advised she wanted to see what activity occurred in her bank account before she decided to press charges.
I added the photos of text messages and documents to the report.
I returned to duty.
