On September 06, 2026, at approximately 1800, Deputy Ellerbee and I were dispatched to an in-progress domestic dispute at [1100 BLOCK] Mulberry Rock Rd, Temple, GA 30179.
I arrived on scene and saw Deputy Ellerbee detaining the suspect, Dawyne. He was arrested for the charges above.
I approached the rest of the family outside and asked them to show me the damage and tell me what happened. I asked them to fill out statement forms. As I entered the residence, I observed shattered glass, a busted TV, and broken cabinets.
I spoke with the caller, the father, first. [VICTIM #1] stated the following:
They were all in the living room watching TV when Dwayne started freaking out, cussing at the TV about “the blacks in Atlanta”; he then kicked the family dog. When Dwayne kicked the dog, [VICTIM #1] sat up and said Why do you do that? You’re not gonna hurt her. Dwayne then got up and started to buck up at him, placing [VICTIM #1] and [VICTIM #2] in fear of receiving bodily harm.
[VICTIM #2], [VICTIM #1], [REDACTED], and [VICTIM #3] all witnessed Dwayne threaten to kill [VICTIM #1], his father, and [VICTIM #3], his brother, as well as burn the family shop down. As we approached the house, the family advised me that Dwayne started destroying the house, breaking TVs and other household items, including family heirlooms. He was also making threats to shoot any law enforcement that showed up, according to the family.
[REDACTED] heard the entire incident by phone before he arrived.
[VICTIM #2], [REDACTED], and [VICTIM #3] were all willing to write statements for me. As they wrote their statements, I continued collecting photo evidence.
I went to speak with Dwayne in the back of the patrol car, and Deputy Ellerbee advised him of his Miranda rights, and he said he accepted. I then asked Dwayne what had happened; he advised that he did nothing but admitted he did destroy the house as soon as deputies pulled up on scene. Deputy Ellerbee told me that as we were walking away from the patrol car, Dwayne said he was gonna come back to the residence with a machine gun when he got out of Jail.
Deputy Ellerbee transported Dwayne to the Paulding County Jail.
The photos and witness statements were uploaded to the iDrive.
